Aria woke up as the sun became bright staring sharply in her eyes.
“This is my first day here, I hope it will be worth it” She thought
Getting off the bed, Aria entered the washroom getting herself ready for the day on getting into the closet, Aria couldn't believe her eyes.
Aria stood in front of her walk-in closet, staring at a wardrobe full of clothes.
They were colour coded racks of designer clothing, most of which still had tags and some sections full of shoes. Her wardrobe consists of clothes more expensive than her monthly income.
She continuously stared at the wardrobe. Picking a silver gown that shines more than a moonlight “This could pay my rent for a year”, She whispered
Liam standing near the hallway with his hands inside his panties “It's Dior. You'll need it for a gala night next week”.
Aria turned towards him, hands on her hips “Gala?, this wasn't in the contract”. She said while staring at him, he was wearing a custom-tailored shirt exposing part of his bare chest.
“It is Clause 1, public appearances” Liam reminded her.
“You mean where I have to fake a smile and pretend that I like you?”.
“Exactly” Liam gave a slight nod
Gosh he was handsomely infuriating
“Mr. Kingsley you shouldn't boss me around here, I won't be made available anytime you want to do”, Aria pointed out.
Leaning closer to her, Liam said “You won't want to breach the contract wifey, trust me I won't go easy on you”.
Aria couldn't hold herself; she could feel his strong cologne finding its way into her nostrils, her mind racing fast
His aura was so strong she couldn't feel herself anymore, she stared into his eyes, they had no sense of emotions or feeling.
Aria was hoping he would have emotions towards her, but he just proved her wrong, no one else is important to him other than his business.
She felt disappointed guessing it would be three months of loneliness. “Fine I will do whatever you want”. She said
Liam gave a smirk and patted her shoulder “Very good wifey”.
Walking out of the room, Liam shut the door behind him. Aria sat on her bed for a while taking her phone, she flipped through images from that night.
Later that day, Aria explores the kitchen only to find a fridge stocked with sparkling water, protein bar and what….! Is that some cravier flavoured hummus?
“Who even eats those?” She muttered, tossing it around.
“That was imported”, Liam said while walking into the kitchen.
“Of course it was” Aria scoffed
He pulled out a bottle of wine from the drink stand “Dinner at 7”. “With the chairman and his wife, We're playing happy couples," he added.
Aria gave him a sarcastic thumbs up “I will wear my best wifey smile”.
Later at 7, Liam stood in the sitting room waiting for Aria. Coming down from the stairs, Aria was putting on a long silver gown.
Liam looked up and froze, for a second his calm exterior cracked “She looks breathtaking”, He thought.
Aria caught him staring and left a smirk “Careful Kingsley, if you keep staring people might think you actually like me”.
Offering his arm to her “Let's go”, He said.
Throughout the ride, Liam and Aria didn't speak to themselves, Aria was stuck on her phone, chatting with her best friend.
On getting to the restaurant Liam turned to Aria “Be your best wifey, let's give them a show”.
Aria observed the restaurant for a while, it was a very big building full of different car, it was definitely a place for the rich.
The dinner was flawless, Aria laughed at the right joke, clinked glasses, touched Liam's arm at just the right time. She was just natural.
Meanwhile, underneath the table, she was digging her nails into her palm anytime Liam said something infuriating.
Throughout the whole meeting Aria forced herself to smile, she needed to act well to avoiding further scander .
After the guests left, Liam turned to her “You were really perfect wifey”.
“Fake smiles and small talk?, please I can do more than that”
“You surprise me” Liam said while giving her a dare to spare.
Aria stared at him “What! You thought I'd fall?”.
Liam left a smile “Let's go wifey”.
On reaching the penthouse, Aria went straight to her room.
Dressed in her pajamas and fuzzy socks, Aria rolled her hair up in a bun. Entering the kitchen, she took out a bowl of cereal.
Liam came rushing in freshly showered, wearing grey pants and a white tee shirt, taking a glass of water as he headed towards the door.
Aria observed him for a while and noticed “You don't do cereals?” She asked.
“I don't do crabs past 8”
Aria rolled her eyes “What a boring lifestyle”.
Liam stood for a while staring at her “She looks so innocent” He thought
Aria noticing his stare said “Don't stare too much Kingsley”
Liam, avoiding her gaze, walked out of the kitchen to his room.
“You know you didn't have to had married me, you could just find one out of those your numerous admirers and gotten married, to save your business” Aria said
Liam stopped for a while and said “What would have been the fun in that wifey”.
“So you married me just for fun” Aria thought “This man seems to get interesting”.
Later that night, Aria settled into her bed flipping through her phone. Just then a message from Maya popped up
“Girl, I just googled your new husband. That man is hot and dangerous. Also…… did you know his company bought out your mother's old business last year? Weird right?”
Aria froze on a spot, Her mother's company bought it?
She couldn't believe her ears “Liam Kingsley bought her mother's old business from her so-called husband?”.
She sat up slowly, her heart thudding
So he knew who she was, from the beginning.
