Chapter 4: Simple Jane

Sharon went to the hospital after finishing her work at the company. Thinking that Jane, the bastard, would not be able to eat anything good in the hospital, she went to Din Tai Fung and packed some nourishing soups and light and refreshing side dishes. But when she opened the door of the ward with her lunch box, there was no one there. She asked the nurse and was told that Jane had gone to see another patient. Sharon frowned when she heard that, thinking that Jane was half dead and still running around.

The little nurse saw the unhappy expression on Sharon’ face and hurriedly reported the room number and explained in detail which direction and which floor it was. Sharon thanked her, put down the lunch box and prepared to catch people.

Here, Jane didn't know that she was in big trouble. She was still helping Henry Lu persuade people. The person she persuaded was not someone else, but Selina, the young lady of the Song family.

In fact, Selina was not injured at all. Although her father went into jail, he was not dead yet, and he might be able to come out. How could her sisters dare to do anything to her? She was the child of the woman that Song Felix loved most. She had been raised in his arms and in his mouth since she was a child. She was very delicate and also scared by the kidnapping. Now she was lying on the hospital bed, saying that he couldn't eat.

Henry was not a patient person, but because the other party was Selina, he put away all his temper, brought the bowl to Selina and said, "Drink the porridge."

Selina's eyes were red and looked like she was about to cry. She wanted to continue making trouble. Seeing Henry’s expression at this moment, she knew that he was about to lose his patience, so she sniffed and muttered, "Then you feed me."

Henry's face sank and he whispered, "Don't make trouble."

Selina really didn't dare to make trouble this time. With a beautiful face, she took the bowl and started to drink the porridge obediently.

Jane, who had been sitting on the sofa and persuading her for a long time, finally breathed a sigh of relief and said earnestly, "Ms Song, you have to eat well. Your health is not good to begin with. Henry heard her energetic voice, turned around and looked at the girl with a bruised face and a hanging hand, frowned and asked: "Are you okay?"

Selina listened to their conversation, raised her head and glanced at Jane. She was kidnapped this time, and Jane tried her best to save her, but she only felt regretful. Jane on the side also hurriedly stood up and poured a glass of water with her uninjured hand, but she pulled his wound while walking, and she grimaced in pain. Before she could pass the water over, the door was suddenly knocked twice, and then without waiting for the person inside to respond, the person knocking on the door had already opened the door and walked in.

Sharon stood at the door and saw the two people on the bed, one coughing and the other patting her backs, and another holding water beside the bed looking at them eagerly. She didn't even say hello, suppressed her anger and raised her hand to Jane and said: "Come here."

Jane put the water down, walked over and asked a little guilty: "Aunt Sharon, why are you here?" Henry next to him also stood up immediately and respectfully called: "Aunt Sharon." Even Selina on the bed sat up and greeted her.

Sharon nodded casually to Henry, but didn't even look at Selina. She lifted Jane by the back of her neck and dragged her out, cursing coldly: "Who told you to get out of bed?"

Jane screamed in pain and kept begging Sharon for mercy. She didn't even bother to turn around and say goodbye to Henry.

Henry looked at the backs of the two people leaving, and a few cold flashes in his eyes.

Selina said unhappily: "Your Aunt Sharon never takes people seriously."

Henry didn't say anything, and Selina whispered: "No wonder your uncle doesn't like her."

Henry gave her a warning look, but Selina said puzzledly: "Jane seems to have a good relationship with her, why is that?" She didn't finish her words, but Henry understood what she meant. She wanted to say that people like Sharon should look down on Jane.

"Jane has been working with her during the years I've been abroad."

Selina curled her lips: "It seems that Jane is not stupid. She knows when to hold someone's thigh."

Henry's face turned cold because of this sentence. Selina quickly changed the subject and discussed her family affairs with Henry. She didn't care who Jane held. Anyway, as long as Henry had a gap in his heart with Jane, the two would never be as close as they were in their childhood, and her goal would be achieved.

Sharon took Jane back to the ward and called the doctor to check her whole body. After confirming that there was no problem, her face looked better.

Jane approached with a playful smile: "Aunt Sharon, don't worry, I'm fine." After saying that, she raised her uninjured hand and tried to pose like Popeye. Sharon looked at her coldly, and then put her hand down and sat down.

Sharon asked, "What are you going to do?"

Jane answered hesitantly, "I just want to see if Young Lady Song is okay..."

Sharon glanced at her and sneered, "Are you going to see Young Lady Song or Young Master Lu?"

Jane was stunned. After she came to her senses, she almost jumped out of the bed. She shook her head and stammered, "I, I, I... take a look..."

For so many days, no one came to see her and no one took care of her. She was like a scrap of garbage, and was thrown into the hospital. Jane had been eating bland soup in the hospital for a few days and was already very greedy. When she saw Din Tai Fung's box, her eyes lit up. She didn't bother to be polite to Sharon. Sharon was so annoyed by her noise that she turned around and wanted to scold her, but when she saw her cheerful appearance while eating, she found it funny and her boredom faded away. She liked to see Jane's energetic appearance. This kid has been like this since she was a child. No matter what she encountered, she never complained or got discouraged. She was happy every day, as if life should always be so simple and bright.

Sharon walked over and rubbed her hair hard, and Jane's face was almost pressed into the lunch box. When she raised her head in grievance, Sharon put away the smile on the face and taught her a lesson: "Don't get involved in the affairs of the Song family in the future."

Jane was embarrassed, "But..."
