AVYANNA COSTELLO
Waking up on a Monday morning was basically my least favorite thing in the whole world, because hearing that alarm go off at 7:00am meant I had to start preparing for a long day at work. I grudgingly stepped out from under my comforter and headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and have a shower. Stepping out of the bathroom, I made my way to the closet to find out what I could wear for the day. After going about my business and cleaning my room, I walked into the kitchen to find a note on the fridge from Ariel saying she had to leave early for work today because she was filling in for one of the other chef who had a family emergency and she had no time to prepare breakfast. I started work on the coffee and then opened the fridge to see what I could prepare before heading out to work.
I decided to go with eggs and bacon with a small stack of pancakes.
When I finished, I set the table and ate while scrolling through i********:. When I was done, I placed my dishes in the dishwasher and started cleaning. Since there wasn't much to do, I was done in an hour and I headed up for a change of clothes, shooting a text to ari telling her I was already on my way to work and by 10:00am, I was on my way to the studio. When I got to the studio, I headed up to my manager office to see what I had to do today. I was requested to have around 5 of my paintings submitted to the by the end of the week as there was going to be a charity ball hosted by the next week. Apparently, this charity ball was hosted every year by the Ferrari family and usually they showcase a variety of items ranging from art to jewelry and stuff like that and all the earnings went to different causes around the world.
This meant I had to get working and there would be no time for slacking. But it would be a bit easier because I had around three paintings already so I just needed to get two more down. I decided it would be a good time to get started because I could already feel my inspiration thrumming. I walked down to the space reserved for me and I got started on the painting, I had to restart a few times before getting what I wanted and the fact that I didn't really know what I was painting also added to the suspense. I worked on this for hours on the painting, skipping lunch in the process because I didn't want to lose my inspiration. By the time I was done, the sun was about to set and my stomach was growling for food. I stood up and stretched for a bit, when I looked back at my painting, I realized I had painted one of my favorite places, central park at sunset. To be honest, I didn't realize it would look this amazing and if I didn't have a deadline to meet I would have taken the painting for myself.
When I picked my phone up, I saw a few messages from Ariel saying she was home and had gotten started on dinner so I didn't need to pick up anything. I replied her saying I was on my way before packing up my stuff and making my way out of the building. I got into my car and drove home wanting nothing more than to eat, soak in a bath and go to bed. I did exactly that.
The next day, my routine was the same except ari was still at home because she didn't have to turn it at work early today, I wanted to get started on the next painting except this one didn't go as smoothly as it was supposed to. I sat for hours staring at a blank easel before I realized I was just giving myself a migraine and decided to go get lunch and maybe walk around the block for a while. I walked out of the studio and only had to walk a little bit before seeing my favorite café. I walked in and ordered a plate of cheeseburgers and fries with a milkshake. I sat there for a while before going back to the studio deciding to ditch the walk because it was currently too hot for that idea, unfortunately, lunch didn't bring any ideas and I just sat there again for a few hours before deciding to head home and get started on dinner.
When I got home, Ariel was still at work and I decided to get started on dinner. It wasn't too long before I heard the front door slam shut and Ariel yell my name, "arianna you home?" I replied "in the kitchen" she walked into the kitchen and sat on one of the seats at the counter. "so how was work today' she inquired "it was an absolute waste of time" she giggled at my annoyed expression "I thought you didn't have to submit your work until next two months, so why are you stressing so much" she asked, "oh, I didn't tell you, so apparently there is this charity ball that is usually hosted every year and its going to be taking place next week and they want 5 of my paintings and I have to submit them by the end of the week but luckily I already have 3 paintings down, and I got one more done yesterday but I literally have no vision or inspiration for the last painting" I explained. "oh, but didn't they realize they needed those paintings until last minute" she inquired. "I don't know but now I am more stressed than ever".
She thought about it for a bit before she said "don't worry about it, you are going to do amazing because you are talented and I am sure that painting will turn out beautiful" "Thanks" I beamed. I finished dinner and we sat down to eat and we watched a few movies before going to bed.
