Chapter Thirty-FiveAberdeen, Summer 2003 Detective Inspector Harry Houston looked across his desk at the attractive woman who sat in the visitors' chair. Houston was not yet fully accustomed to the lofty position of his new rank, and felt slightly uncomfortable with the task he had to perform. The powers that be had decided that he needed an assistant in his new role as the front-line head of the force's new in-house murder investigation unit.
