"Mom, what are you doing here?"
Madison pulled a list from her bag. "I'm here to ask for money! Chloe, your boyfriend broke things that belong to the Murphy family, and he has to pay for them!"
Chloe glanced at the list, which was filled with words.
Daniel's expression darkened. "Mom, I'll handle this. Please go home."
"How are you going to handle it?" Madison shot a glare at Chloe. "She says a few nice words, and you forget who you are?"
The street was bustling with people coming and going, many stopping to watch the scene.
Chloe remained calm. "First, Charles broke things that belong to the Murphy family. I'm willing to compensate, but not for the amount you decide. Second, I'm not interested in your precious son at all. Please keep him away from me. I never want to see him again!"
