The Lycan King and I stiffened and turned towards the voice. He immediately released me, and I looked up to see Ruby standing a few feet away from us.
She was dressed in her school uniform, and that was when I remembered it was a school day. Ruby was the leader of the bullies at my school. She had always made my life miserable, calling me wolfless and weak whenever she had the chance.
There were even rumours that she was the Lycan King's mate because they were so close and he drove her to school every day. Because of that, everyone feared and respected her.
"What the hell is going on here?" she demanded, turning towards the Lycan King.
When he didn't answer, she shifted her attention to me and narrowed her eyes.
