"what are we doing today?"Keon asked. I had planned that maybe we'd go out for a picnic..."What do you say, we go to the park and have a picnic?"I asked.
"Yay!"she screamed back.
" You like picnics huh?"
"I loovvee! going to the park. Daddy don't have the time anymore to take me, 'cos he's 'ways busy with work."
"Okay,then maybe it's a good thing we're going now"
"Yes yes yes. Can I take my wand? A fairy princess is not complete without it"
" I thought you're a fairy godmother?"
"No,I am a princess. Daddy says so"she pouted."Okay" I smiled. I rolled my eyes. Whatever she says,who am I to judge.
"can I?"she asked again.
"Yes you can".
We trodded downstairs. I went to the fridge in the kitchen and brought out a can of milk, a juice pack, four apples, two cans of water and laid them on the kitchen counter. I looked through the cupboard for a basket, then the drawers for napkins and a big tablecloth. I set these on the counter along with the rest. Keon sat on a Stool watching as I do this. I began to arrange everything in the basket.first I put in the tablecloth,then in went the napkins,then drinks, bottled water,and the fruits. Then I brought out six slices of bread,placed them on a small tray and started the mix to make sandwiches.Done with that,I smeared a reasonable quantity of the mix on the side of a bread and closed with another,I did same for the remaining and began cutting them into various shapes. I brought out a small container and put in the shaped sandwiches and then placed it in the basket. I looked for plastic cups,found them ,I placed two in the basket.
"Can we go now" Keon whined
"Yes, but first I have to get your colour book"
"But.."
"Nuh uh."I tutted and went to her room to get it and crayons. I came back down and grabbed the basket."Now,we can go".
We both head out the front door. I locked the door and hid the key. Holding hands we walked to the park which was a few blocks down the street.
