The final days leading up to an election were always frenetic. They were exhausting and invigorating, even when your candidate was running without opposition. Jack often knew the outcome of elections before the polls opened because his charges frequently ran unopposed. This time it was very different. He still had butterflies. It was because he really believed in this candidate and was truly excited about the ultimate outcome still some months away. This was a mission, not a job.
