CAMILLA POV
We had been at it for hours, but every piece of evidence we found only seemed to deepen the mystery. Just when I thought we were hitting a dead end, Archie called my attention to something vital.
"Camilla," he said, his voice laced with urgency. "Did you tell Margaret that you were in her office about your mother?"
I frowned, shaking my head. "No, I didn't."
Archie's eyes narrowed, a look of realization dawning on his face. "Then she threw a clickbait and you picked it. She's just trying to divert your attention. Either she paid someone to tip her off about you since you started working there, or someone is pushing the boundaries."
