Chapter 8
EJ 🖋️
Nickel's POV
"Why are you here Wood?" I asked when he finally stopped laughing.
"If that's to get back at me, it's not working." He said smirking. Gosh he's annoying but good-looking. I know how much he hates being called woods but I still call him that anyways. It's his loss he hates his surname.
"Okay out with it." I said when I saw him lying on my bed, and getting comfortable on it.
"I came to annoy you but seeing as you're already annoyed and stressed, we might as well watch a movie." Vincent said finally being serious.
"Okay." I replied setting my box aside by the door and walking towards the Tv adjacent the bed to switch it on.
"What are we looking at?" Vincent asked.
"Modern family." I replied logging into Netflix and searching up the series.
"Not again." I heard him say.
"Go get popcorns, juice and water I ordered him still searching for the movie.
"Yes ma." He replied giving me a salute before walking out. It's so nice to order the captain around. I thought laughing.
It wasn't up to five minutes since he left, I head the door knob open and saw him come in with a maid who placed everything close to the bed, on the bed side drawer that has a mirror attached to the table.
"Thanks Maria." I heard him mutter to the maid as she walked away while he Settled into bed with me, I switched off the light before playing the movie.
It was halfway through the movie when I heard him say he was going to school tomorrow.
"Okay." I replied back feeling this ache in my heart and loosing interest in the movie before gradually falling asleep.
I woke up due to the voices I kept on hearing.
"Awwn, they're so cute." Registered Voice A said.
"Yes they are." Registered Voice B said.
"Arghh." I heard someone groan close to my ear. The sound of the television was also heard.
Shutting everyone out, I began to register the boy wrapped around my arms and legs. The groan definitely belongs to Vincent. Mum and Aunt Jane are the owners of the voice I heard. This is bad.
"They look as lovely as Jordan and you did." I heard Aunt Jane's voice rang out before everywhere went silent.
"We don't talk about Jordan remember?" Mom said after about five minutes of silence.
"I know. I'm sorry sweetheart." I heard Aunt Jane say then fading footsteps.
"Wake up kids." Mum said loudly.
"Vincent needs to go to school today." Aunt Jane said before I heard the door close.
I was so embarrassed to be in Vincent's arm. I was still drowning in my embarrassment when I heard shuttering sound.
"What are you doing?" I asked opening my eyes to see Vincent using his free hand to take a picture of the both of us still entangled in each other's arm.
"Taking picture princess." He said a cheeky smile appearing on his face. God he's so f*****g handsome I could pay to stare at him.
"You're drooling princess." He said laughing.
"Bastard." I muttered under my breath. I could feel my cheeks heat up ohh he's so gonna tease me about that.
"Well better than bird nest." I suddenly heard his voice behind my ears making me shiver it felt so good.
Untangling my legs from his, and sitting up, I gave him the looks that said 'bird nest really '. He just shrugged in response. Again, jerk.
"Get out Vincent." I said making him laugh before raising his hands up in a surrendering manner.
"Good morning princess." He said before he walked out through the door.
I have a feeling he said that on purpose making his voice that deep he most definitely wants to seduce me. Too bad he doesn't know I'm already seduced by him.
Vincent was known to be world's biggest player. Well, atleast in the world I leave in. He was a jork, society's biggest One.
Even back then as kids, he would find fun in bullying me weather it was during Thanksgiving meal, get together, hangout, school, whenever we met, Vincent was always bullying me.
That's part of the reasons why Sarah and I didn't attend same school with the boys.
Memories of Vincent and I filled my head as I headed to the restroom to take a bath then went downstairs for breakfast.
Breakfast was good with pancakes and sausage. I kept staring at Vincent all throughout breakfast that I'm sure someone must have noticed but decided to turn blind to it.
Mom and Aunt Jane taking pictures of Vincent and I was confirmed at breakfast. They made so much fun of us that I saw Vincent, Vincent Woods, captain of brain ford high football team flustered.
Mum and Aunt Jane left for work shortly after breakfast while Vincent took his plate to the kitchen and then upstairs to his room for his final packing or something like that. I do not accurately recall what he said to Mateo.
"You like my brother." Mateo stated making me choke on the Vanilla cup ice cream I had in place of juice for breakfast. He wasn't asking i noticed when I raised my head from my tissue in my hand I coughed into. The look on his face told me he was sure, wanted confirmation and I had just given that to him.
"What?" I asked making sure I hadn't misheard the young Master ii of the Woods family like mother always call him whenever she's in the mood for jokes.
"I've seen the way you look at him during meals and before those." He said plainly.
There was no need arguing with him so I begged instead "Please keep this a secret for me
" I pleaded with him.
"Sure."
"Is it that obvious?" I asked.
"What?" He snorted.
"My crush on your brother. Is it that obvious?" I asked making him chuckle before shaking his head. Well that's definitely good.
"I'll be upstairs." I said standing up and picking my empty dishes with me to the kitchen.
Mateo wasn't one to pay attention to things so if he noticed,it was definitely obvious he was trying to make me feel better by signalling no. Can't say saying can I?
I'll try to keep my crush more secret than it already is. With this thought in mind, I retired to my room.

Aliyah POV
I sat down and waited for Jane to get back home that night and when she she finally got home, she reeked of someone's perfume and it was definitely not Sebastian's.
"Where have you been girl?" I asked from the living room making her stop in fear.
"Aliyah. Y-you scared me." She said ignoring my initial question. She's definition keeping things from me. She was not with Sebastian.
Her clothes looked so rumpled that I don't even know what to imagine she did. What's going on with her this past few days? I couldn't stop myself from wandering.
Jane is like a neat freak, a straight forward person. The only time she's ever lied to me was when Vincent was involved. It's been like seven years ago.
"Jane Mayer." I called and saw her eyes twitch. "You can always tell me anything okay?" I said and saw her shoulders slump. "It doesn't have to be right now. We're friends not mother- daughter." I reminded her making the both of us laugh. She walked towards the living room and sat with me giving me a big hug.
"I hooked up with someone that's not Sebastian." She said into my left shoulder her head was rested on.
"I know." I said smiling. Here, this was my best friend not she I didn't know where she came from before.
"You do?" She asked breaking free from the hug. She was looking at me with hope. Hope that didn't mean she doesn't want to explain, but hope that meant she didn't want me to know who she hooked up with.
"I do." I said trying to play with her emotions.
"It's just this once I promise, nothing is happening she kept on ranting about to herself.
"Who did you meet with that's got you so worked up?" Okay, Jane was behaving so weird like she did years ago when she was dating one guy she was stealing from home for.
" You reeked of a perfume that's not Sebastian. But the perfume on you smells familiar but I can't wrap my head on who owns it." I said and saw relief flashing through her eyes.
"I trust you Aliyah. I really do that's why I'm keeping things a secret from you. I'll definitely tell you when the time is right. I don't need you to be disappointed in me like my parents were." She said hugging me again.
"I'm not your parents girl. You might be a criminal and I will still stand by you like you did, do, you're currently doing and will still do for me in the future." I said hugging her back.
Even if Jane's parents loved her a lot, they were disappointed when she ended thing with Vicente Woods. The friendship between the Meyers and the Woods had ended badly that both family do not even attend any event the other have been invited to.
Sometimes, It makes me happy that Jordan and I didn't end up together. Mum and Aunt Juliana's friendship would have been ruined if we had fallen apart and it would have been on me. Jordan and I would never fall apart.
"It's okay gurl. Go to bed you stink." I said breaking the hug making the both of us laugh.
"Goodnight Aliyah." I heard her say she was probably close to the stairs by now.
"Sleep well Jane." I said to the now empty room cause I heard her footsteps climbing up the stairs.
Morning came by quickly. 'here goes my plan to tell Sarah and Jason about their dad.' I thought standing up from My bed and heading for the bathroom.
I took my bath and put on a casual blue gown pairing it with black shoes. I grabbed a pair of Hermes black slippers to drop them in my car. They'll come in handy for shopping with Nickel later.
Walking out of my room and down the hallway I bumped into someone making me halt my journey.
"Aliyah I can't find Vincent in his room." Jane complained as I turned to face her.
"Good morning to you too." I greeted making her laugh. Being a mum gets you that. The emotional stress.
"Have you checked Matteo's room?" I asked her.
"Yes that's where I'm coming from before I bumped into you. He's out for soccer practice. He should be back soon though." She said the worry still evident in her eyes.
" Have you checked Nickel's room?" I asked smirking. My poor daughter that has a crush on that Wood boy for as long as I can remember.
I smiled at the memory of her wishpered about it to Sarah even if he was a jetk at that time.
"No. Let's head there." She said. I put down my bag and slippers on the table by the hallway before following Jane.
When we opened The door to Nickel's bedroom, we saw them sleeping. Snacks long forgotten arms and legs tangled around each other, the television, on and forgotten.
Jane and I smiled at the sight before us. We both brought out our phones and took some cute photos of the kids before sharing a laugh.
"Awwn they're so cute." Jane couldn't stop herself from gushing out.
"Yes they are." I replied smiling.
"They looked as cute as Jordan and you did back then." Jane said and stopped speaking when she realized she said his name.
We don't talk about Jordan. Not after he ditched me. It was a rule we agreed to. Yes she brings him up but she's never said both our names together in a sentence.
My hands shooked as my brain replayed a picture of Jordan and I lying down in bed like they do.
Jordan. He who turned my life upside down.
"We don't talk about Jordan." I said to her walking out of the room.
"I know, I'm sorry sweetheart." She muttered. Making me chuckle as she walked towards me.
"Wake up kids." I called out from the door.
"Vincent needs to go to school today." Jane said before we exited the room for breakfast.
I really don't know what's going on but I saw both of them glancing at each other during breakfast.
