I shut the door on my parents angrily. They had just left after a 30 day hiatus at my condo.

I walked over to the phone and dialed Lizzie’s number, she answered on the second ring. Of course she was happy to hear from me and said she would be over in an hour or so. I flashed the phone and waited for the dial tone, dialing my boyfriend he too answered quickly, I invited him over knowing he wouldn’t be over till he got off work.
