The Beginning

She started to feel the familiar ache in her legs that came before she dropped from being on the move to long. Sharon usually would be the one cheering her on telling her to go just a little further. Her chest started to hurt but not from the exercise, so she decided to switch her focus to her surroundings. Her focus became more and more attuned to everything going on like her senses were on a fifteen on a scale of one to ten. It overwhelmed her causing her to get dizzy and stumble into a tree. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths to steady herself, while the evening breeze cooled her down. This had happened to her once before, but the last time was worse and Sharon had found her laying on the floor sweating and curled up in a ball. Sharon hadn’t asked about it and she hadn’t said anything about it because she thought she was just tired from training. Now she thought it might be something else like something inside of her had shifted and her skin was all tingly. It was weird but she had already been standing in one place too long so she started walking again.             This time she went a little slower she only had a half-mile left to go and her insides were still a little woozy. After about twenty minutes she could see the house come into view and she felt just a hint of relief. When she got within a few yards, the air suddenly felt different as if time itself had stopped. No that wasn’t it. She stopped and looked around and realized there was no breeze as if the house was inside a bubble. Instead of feeling worried she felt rather calm and it was as if a warm blanket had wrapped her up on a cold night. This only made her dizzier and she knew she had to get into the house. She wobbled to the porch of the house and stumbled through the door. At this point, she was on her hands and knees with her bags splayed out at the door. Somehow she made it to the steps, just repeating “one more second” in her head. She sat on her butt and slid down the steps until she reached the basement. The cool floor felt good on her skin and she was tempted to lay her face down right there but something inside her urged her to make it to the bed. So she pushed herself to her knees once more and inched her way to the bed. Finally, with whatever unknown strength she climbed into the bed and curled into a ball under the blanket instantly passing out.  # He didn't know how long he had been sitting there on the floor of the library but he knew it had to be for a while. His legs had the pins and needles feeling from being in one position too long and he hadn't even found what he had come down here for. However, that wasn't important right now because everything he had thought was true for the past 8 years Niecheva...rather "Sharon" had been gone was twisted with lies and manipulation. He had been manipulated in the worst of ways that caused him to fail the last people on earth he wanted to fail, his parents. Even though they were gone from this world now, he knew they were always watching over him. Also, there was also the fact that those who train their gifts and those whose gifts were naturally abundant generally were more connected even after death. As it so happens he and his brother are part of one of the four strongest and oldest families existing in or out of the company. Of his family, he was probably the strongest one, with his brother coming in for a close second, although if he trained he would probably be just as strong.          He stood up and did his best to shake off the feeling in his legs and get to work. If what he had heard was right then she was "The Holder of Twelve" and that meant he would need to go into the furthest recesses of the library. This took even more clearance to get into and that means going to his brother. If one could get into the library that was alone a great feat but to reach that section of the library required the strength of two greats of the current leader of the Company.          Bashakin could swear that the books could talk to his brother because as soon as he thought about going back to the desk, his head popped around the corner. Well, it was that or his abilities of precognition and telepathy. Now that his brother was standing in front of him he looked taller than ever but he was still on the skinnier side. His disheveled auburn hair never matched his super tidy outfit with creases that look like they could act as a letter opener. His long purple robe brushed the ground even though he hovered slightly above the floor. His honey skin looked paler than usual as they stared at each other speaking only through their minds. Since they were brothers they could speak telepathically using minimal energy making it undetectable and unhackable by others. After only a couple of minutes, Archie fully realized what had to be done and together they made their way past the block and into the back of the library. They gathered a few of the sacred texts and talismans that were hidden there and some instructions on how to make more. This was only going to be the beginning and by the time they were done she ould be where she belonged.
