“You’re going to have to do what it wants for now until we can figure out how to get out of this officially. I promise we will work this out as a family,” Emily softly cried.
“Your father was a good man. He was my distant cousin. I fell for him really quick like you did with Mora. He was so handsome back then. We got married quick and then I lost him.” She fought back some tears threating to fall on her face.
“He was much like you and too stubborn for many things. He just died young. I lost him too soon,” Emily sulked.
David lifted his head to glance at his mother. “Why didn’t you ever leave?”
She shrugged. “Because I could never. There was always something that kept me here. I never knew why but it just happened.”
