Chapter SevenThe afternoon sun rays flowed heavy on the docks. Jaden sat in his parked Toyota car looking out to the sea. Men scurry up the ladders and pathways on the boats. Collin and Matthew carry some crates over their heads. The clouds fight the sun with dominance. The fishy smells surround the area. The winds picked up and blew into fishermen faces. Jaden reached for a donut on the dashboard glancing at the waves swerve back and forth. The cigarette sizzled in one of his hands. He put it to his lips and blew on the small bud. Smoke surrounded him then he rolled down the window to let it out. A knock on the door alerted Jaden to look toward the passenger side to see Emily. Jaden rolled down the window.
