The irritation in my face was visible as I watched Rowan and Belle gush over each other. Rowan gifted Belle a decorated car filled with lots of presents as her Valentine’s present.
I blamed my father for giving him access to his money.
I couldn’t stop shaking my head because I discovered that Rowan had cheated on Belle. She knew about it but he was always showering her with gifts and she ended up accepting him back in her life.
I always wondered why some people behaved that way. It was shameful to watch someone stay in a disrespectful relationship.
Was it because she loved him deeply and was too scared to walk away or was it because of his money? Belle’s parents were also rich, so I couldn’t help but wonder what her reason was.
