Surrender
Yulen fought to remain conscious. Faintly, he heard Batuset’s cries of anguish as Tabb’s screams grew fainter. When the Bloods were finished with the second, they calmly walked away from the body without a second glance.
He heard fighting on the ramparts as the Bloods which had infiltrated the ranks of his military battled against his trained soldiers. It soon became apparent that the skirmish would not last long. The Bloods were not capable of beating down men who had honed their skills for years. But he also had to acknowledge that he had no clue as to how many Bloods had insinuated themselves inside the compound. And given their ferocity, their smaller numbers could prevail.
