“The hell you talking about?”
Binny yelled and turned to me to give me all her attention.
“Don't be saying no s**t like that,Vin. I wanna hear about this date, but don't be saying no ominous s**t like that. Talking bout, you killed some damn body. I thought we'd have to go on the run messing with you.”
Robin and I burst out and laughed at Kris. She sounded so damn serious, and by the look in her eyes, she most likely was.I chuckled again and leaned my head on her shoulder. Binny threw herself into my body.
“You hoes ain't leaving me out of all the love.”
We all snuggled in and sat in silence. This was nice after our emotional rollercoaster we were on not too long ago.
“You're a little too quiet for a person who's supposed to be telling us what happened this week and how that date went with that sexy ass billionaire.”
I jabbed Binny with my elbow on her side, and she laughed. I snuggled in more, readying myself to tell them my stressful ass week.
“So, let's just start with the bs first. Raphel is a hoe, and I rocked Sarah’s shit.”
Both of their faces looked comical. Kris raised her brows, and Binny smiled.
“Uhh, that's not enough of an answer, b***h that's hardly a synopsis.”
Kris shifted to get more comfortable and to have a better view of my face.
“About damn time. I couldn't stand her ass. She was always doing too f*****g much for me. I wished Raphael fired her a long time ago. Wait. Is she fired? Please tell me she is?”
Binny shot up excited at the idea of never having to see Sarah's face again.
“Hold up! How come you don't already know Binny? Don't yall work together?”
Kris said as she looked at both Binny and I confused.
“Oh, I was at our partner company for most of the week. What I don't understand is why this heffa just now talking about it?”
They both looked me dead in the face and I closed my eyes to run away from their gaze.
“Girl, closing your eyes don't mean a damn thing. We still here. Now open them and get to talking, heffa.”
I smiled at Kris’s words and peaked through my left eye to see both them hoes staring at me expectantly. I chuckled and opened both eyes.
“Ok, ok! Calm down. This week was just crazy. I didn't really have time to tell yall anything. Hell, I hardly had time to process everything myself. Monday, Raphael’s all up in my face in the morning. By the end of the day, I'm being told he was just balls deep in Sarah's nasty ass. She thought she had a friend cause she was talking reckless and I had to check her before her mouth got her f****d up. Tuesday, I finally spoke with Raphael and told him I was leaving. I'm bout sick of his ass too. All that damn push and pull bullshit he's doing, I ain't with it. So he knows I'm leaving. That's also the day Sarah thought to schedule an ass whooping and she got one. Wednesday, I got a call from Damien to come to his company cause he needed to speak with me about something and that something was him getting me connected with an art dealer. He saw one of my sketches and thought I was Picasso or something. So that's what I did basically all Wednesday, and that's the day he asked me out. I spent all Thursday getting my life in the office situated. I told Raphael that I won't leave till next June or July. That should be enough time to make sure any new clients have my full attention as they transition into partnering with our company and making sure clients like Damien's company are getting on well within their first 6 months to a year. I'm leaving, but my rep will NOT be tarnished by this. And last night or a few hours ago, I had my date with Damien. That man sure does know how to wine and dine a girl. Phew, just talking about this s**t is as exhausting as actually doing it.”
I slouched back on the couch and dramatically wiped my forehead. Both my friends were shocked and just looked at me from everything I just said. I waited for their brains to play catch up before saying anything more.
“ZZZZAAAAAMMMNNN, D. Oh, I see. We gonna need some popcorn for this s**t because that little overview you just did was not enough. Damn. We have anymore ice cream left? You know what, I'll get us some drinks instead.”
Kris got up after she finally processed everything and headed for the wine cabinet.
“You know what, I'm not leaving the office no more after this week. I done missed all the good s**t tryna be an employee. Yeah, make sure you grab all the snacks and a couple of bottles, K. We gone be here till morning.”
Binny yelled her orders over her shoulder to Kris while she was still in the kitchen. I just laughed because I knew I wasn't getting out of this rundown. After Kris got everything we needed to have a fully functional operation, we all sat munching and drinking, getting ready for my rundown of the fuckery that was my week.
“Let's start with the ass whooping. How did that even happen? What did she say?”
Binny lit up like a Christmas tree waiting to hear all about my altercation with Sarah.
“Well, she felt some kinda way about what I said to her the day before. She felt the need to tell me all about the excursion she and he had on Sunday. Apparently, he's the water company with how much she said he had her squirting. I don't know, maybe she sprung a leak or something and he tried to fix it.”
We all laughed at my ridiculousness.
“Seriously, Vinnie. I can't with you sometimes.”
Binny laughed in between words as she spoke to me.
“Yeah, well, get over it.”
I nudged Binny and smiled at her, and then headed back into the story.
“Anyway, I started searching around me tryna figure out who she was talking to cause I sure as s**t didn't ask and definitely didn't need the details either. I was pissed. Not that she and he was f*****g cause, come one, we already knew that, but that he's been all up in my face spitting sweet nothings to me and my dumbass was falling for it. I knew I should've never even paid that man no mind. Now I look stupid.”
“Um, no. He's the dumb one. You weren't wrong in thinking he was tryna have something with you. We all could see he wanted you. He's just a hoe who can't keep it in his pants and she's a c*m bucket waiting and willing to hold his shit.”
When I tell you I busted out laughing, I mean that. Kris looked at me crazy.
“I'm sorry. It's funny as hell cause I called her a c*m bucket too. Plus, she did tell me she sucked down so much of his c*m that she was still full from it. I guess it was a hearty meal.”
Again, we all laughed and they waited for me to continue.
“She got a little too comfortable for me. I'm usually pretty chill in the office, so I guess she thought I'd be on chill when she started talking reckless. She said I'm not worthy of him or to be in his presence. I'd only be good enough to lick his shoes. The b***h also call me fat, black, and ugly, which fine, I'm two out of three, but don't ever call me f*****g ugly, bitch.”
As I thought of the whole situation, it just simply pissed me off all over again and it seemed to do the same for Kris and Binny.
“First the f**k of all, your not fat, you plushy and thick. For real though, yeah you have some stomach but your ass, thighs, and t**s make up most of you. I mean to each their own, I guess, but I don't think you're that big. Plus you have some of the best looking skin I have ever seen in my life. So if being black and fat is what you look like, sign me the f**k up.”
Binny said it with so much conviction. She has always said she loved my complexion and my curvy body. She always wanted to be a little thicker but with her genetics, it wasn't happening for her. During the summer, she always tryna catch a tan.
“Yeah. Just cause you are bigger than her, doesn't mean you're unhealthy. I bet she didn't know a thickems could bob and weave like you do.”
Kris said as she raised a brow with a smirk on her face. She knows better than anybody how hard I trained in boxing. When I turned 11, I asked Auntie Sweet and Uncle Jose if I could train in boxing and they allowed me to. They thought it would be therapeutic for me and also great self-defense, especially after what happened to my parents. I also wanted to learn because I remembered how well my parents fought. I trained in boxing for 4 years and when I was 15, I began MMA. My instructor told me to join the MMA classes because I was basically a pro in boxing and would do great in that fighting style as well. I loved it. It broadened my horizon of different martial arts and it made me want to learn Muay Thai and Japanese Jiu Jitsu. So after 2 years, I moved from MMA to Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. I continued my training up until I was 23. I received my black belt in Muay Thai and my purple belt in Jiu Jitsu.
I smiled back at her and snickered.
“She didn't know but she sure found out. On Tuesday when I was leaving the office, she thought it would be a good idea to try and corner me and then she had the audacity to slap me and b***h I saw red. I punched her in the face and eye and punt kicked the s**t outta her and she slammed into a car. James saw what happened, ran over and held me back from f*****g her ass up more. s**t if he didn't, my ass would definitely be in jail.”
Robin gasped and then started bouncing up and down on the couch, shaking me in excitement.
“Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god!”
“What, Bin!?”
“It was you! When I went into work on Wednesday, I had to go back to my office and pick up some paperwork I forgot. But I heard whispers of Sarah getting f****d up. I thought maybe they meant she was getting f****d, but naw. She got f****d up by you. I couldn't stay long cause I had to go back to the other office. It totally slipped my mind… UHHH… I'm never leaving your side at the office again. All the good stuff happens when my ass leaves that place, I swear.”
Binny fell back on the couch in a huff after she realized she missed the moment of the century that centered around her best friend. Kris and I looked at each other out the corner of our eye and started to laugh. We laughed so hard we had tears rolling down our cheeks.
“Man, I ain't never gonna get through all this s**t messing with yall. So before the beatdown, I finally had the guts and the attitude to tell Raphael of my departure. He seemed really shaken up over it. He kept trying to divert the conversation to that of the crap that was said to me, but I didn't want to hear it and kept the conversation focused on my leave. He asked if my impromptu leave was because I was hurt because of him, and it took everything in me not to slap the s**t out of him. Like, sir, you fine, but you ain't got s**t to do with this. All of what happened just made it easier and cleared my mind. I told him when I planned on leaving so it could give him enough time to find my replacement and train them. It's just time for me to move on and begin to live for me. I'm done living in some fantasy world waiting for him to want me and notice me. I'll take a lot of things on the chin, but playing with my emotions will never be one of them."
I sat back on the couch and folded my arms. Truth is, I was really hurt by everything that was told to me about his and Sarah's sexcapade. I spoke to him that day, and he hung up the phone on me to sleep with her. Then, less than 24 hours later, he's in my muthafucking face. He seemed really desperate to speak with me and I know he was telling the truth when he said he liked me but I don't think he's ready for what I'm looking for and I'm not waiting around to see if he'll ever be anymore.
“Well f**k him and her too. Do what's best for you. You already know I'm down to help out with your start up. I have some clients I could slide your way and we can partner up if you like. I'm sure my clients would be more than happy to once they find out who you are.”
My eyes lit up and smiled at Kris.
“You would do that?”
“Of course I would. You helped me get my company off the ground and encouraged me to go after my dreams. Why wouldn't I do the same?”
I grinned at Kris and gave her a side hug. She was a fashion designer and stylist. She worked for a ton of influences, and she started to catch the eyes of some celebrities as well. She has a small company that rakes in a lot of money. Her crew is a small team: 3 designers/sewers, a photographer, set designer, accountant, and assistant. Kris double majored in fashion and design and business management with a minor in accounting. She's an excellent designer and has an amazing eye for styling anyone and any body type. Her company shot into the stratosphere when I gave her a plug with one of Silver Lining's clients. They just so happened to be a clothing brand looking for more advertisements and promotions. Of course, they still worked with us here at the company, but I also made it a point to tell them to have more than one avenue and suggested Kris and her company. After that, she’s always wading through clients because that's how great she is at what she does. Her company runs well, and she's in the midst of expanding.
“I already told Vinnie when she quits to start her company, that would be the day I'll leave too. We won't be letting you do this alone.”
Binny smiled at me, and I gave her a hug too. I really have been blessed to have not 1 but 2 amazing friends in my life. That's more than what some get. Kris turned her whole body to me and crossed her legs under her. She looked over at Binny and then back to me and smiled.
Oh, lord. She got that look again.
“Now. Enough with the mushy s**t… I wanna hear how that date went. We'll circle back to the art gallery stuff in a second. Was he nasty? No. Better yet, were you nasty. Did anybody get nasty?”
Kris had the biggest smirk on her face, waiting for me to spill my guts. Binny was no better. I turned to look at her face, and she was smiling just as hard. Then she had the nerve to wiggle her brows at me. I laughed at the crazy antics again.
“Sorry to disappoint ladies, but no one got nasty… not that we didn't want to.”
I smirked at them, and they gasped.
“b***h stop playing with us and spill.”
Binny was getting antsy and Kris was no better.
“Who licked, sucked, touched and groped who first. We want every detail, D. So start talking.”
Kris stared me down waiting for me to come out with the juicy details. I rolled my eyes at them but still kept a smile on my face. I looked up at the clock on my wall and saw it was going on 6am and the sun was damn near out, but these hoes were not leaving my side until they satisfied their cravings. I got comfortable again and began to tell them the events of yesterday evening. We spoke well into the morning before any of us went to sleep.
