I don't know what happened. All I remember is seeing and hearing how hurt she was, and I just couldn't allow her to leave. When I turned her around, it damn near broke my heart. The tears in her eyes shattered something in me. I don't know what she's done or what she's been doing to me, but I can't get her outta my head. She believes I only tried to show her affection because of Damien, but in reality, I've been thinking and dreaming of her for the longest time. When he did appear, I knew I'd waited too long.
I've dreamt of being the person to kiss her tears away and that I did. I kissed down her soft cheeks and kissed away her pain. I only waited to help ease her saddness, but then my body reacted to having her in my arms, and I went on autopilot mode. She always smells amazing, and today was no different. Her body was soft and meld into mine like a lost puzzle piece. My hands vibrated at being able to finally touch what seemed to be forbidden for so long. Her ass was juicy, and her t**s were firm and full. Her lips were cotton soft and as smooth as silk… and that p***y!!!
MY GOD !!!
It was wet, wet and fat. I can almost imagine how it'll feel once I'm in her and she tasted phenomenal. My knees buckled, just thinking about how she tasted and the smell of her. I was brought back to the reality of the situation once she came, removed herself from me, and began crying again. I told her my peace and left. She needed to know that I don't care who she thinks she'll be with. At the end of the day, she'll end up with me. I headed to my office and sat at my desk just reminiscing on what had just happened. I folded my hands together and rested my chin on them. Her smell still lingered on my fingers, only fueling the memories. My d**k was rock hard, but I didn't want to push her any further than she probably already felt. My eyes drifted shut, just replaying everything I felt when I was holding her. I replayed the brokenness in her voice and the tears in her eyes. I replayed the words she spoke to me and how painful the truth was when she spoke it. To be honest, everything she said was right. It might not have been my direct intentions, but it definitely was the reality of the situation. In the midst of my thoughts, I received a phone call.
Phone call:
Tim: Sir. I found some things I think you should be made aware of. I don't know what it is yet, but something is definitely going on.
I frowned. Tim is not usually this distressed about much of anything.
Me: How bad is it?
Tim: Honestly, I don't know. I'm not even sure if what I think is actually true. Are you still in the office?
Me: Yeah. I'll be on my way out soon. Meet me back at my place around 6. Bring everything you've found out.
Tim: Yes, sir.
End of call.
I gathered my belongings and headed home. Once I got there, I quickly showered and unwind a little. I had my personal chef cook me dinner. Divinity came to mind, and her homemade food left an unforgettable impression that left me craving more. 6 came around and like clock work, the ever perfectionist of punctuation came ringing my gate to be let in. I headed to my office and awaited Tim. I had to admit I was a little put off and on edge about what he had to say. He's never been the dramatic type, so I'm not sure what exactly he could be wary of. A knock was heard on my door.
“Come in.”
Tim came in and walked to take a seat in one of the chairs facing my desk. I'm a big guy, but Tim is a BIG guy. He's my height, but he definitely lives in the gym somewhere. Now, I'm not saying I'm a slouch by any means, but it'll definitely take me a couple of years to be where he is, which is why I'm worried. Nothing rattles him.
“Mr.McCoy.”
I snickered.
“You do realize you don't have to keep calling me that. How long have we known each other?”
“You're my employer. I must show respect.”
I raised my hands in surrender and left it alone. I'm not sure what he's done before the things he put on his resume, but assassin may very well be on that list.
“What is it that you needed to tell me?”
Tim pulled out a laptop from the backpack he had draped over his shoulder. I took it, opened it, and rummaged through the many photos.
What the hell am I seeing?
I raised a brow and pushed the laptop back towards him.
“What the hell are those? What's going on, Tim?”
Tim was right to be worried.
“I don't exactly know yet, sir. Olivia Genson has been spotted continuously meeting someone or someones in a little town just outside the city and in an office building on the other side of town. What worries me more is that I've spotted her meeting up with someone, who then goes and watches… Ms.Loore.”
My eyes widened at the information, and I immediately became enraged. What the hell is she up to, and why does she have someone on Divinity? I was in the middle of coming close to a meltdown when Tim interrupted my thoughts.
“That's not the only concerning thing, sir.”
I took a deep breath to calm myself. What else could possibly be going on. Tim grabbed and turned the laptop to face him a little while I was still able to see the screen. He moved to a different folder and pulled up more photos. My jaw hit the f*****g floor. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL f**k IS GOING ON?
“Tim… What am I looking at?”
“Well, sir, that is Mr. Damien Becker. He was seen going into a warehouse along with some other shady individuals. I only found out about this because the guy that Olivia had put on Divinity met up with someone else. They handed off information to each other. I followed the second guy all the way to a couple states over. He didn't fly but drove, which told me he didn't want to leave a trail and he paid for gas using cash as well. I can't tell what went on in the warehouse or who these people are. What I can tell you is that whatever is going on, Ms. Loore is definitely a part of it in one of two ways: She either doesn't know what's going on and she's caught the attention of some dangerous people or she herself is into some shady business. You did say she was quitting to start her own company, right? Did she ever tell you what it was she's doing? What kind of business is she tryna get into is the question we need to be asking.”
I was floored. I slumped back into my seat. What is going on? I know Divinity isn't a part of anything shady, so this has to be Olivia's doing. She's using Slate. I've seen him around a time or two. But that other guy. Who is he, and who does he work for, and why are they exchanging information? Do they want Divinity, too? I knew Olivia was f*****g crazy but what the f**k has she dragged Divinity into. My blood boiled at knowing she was trying to hurt Divinity and it could very well be because of me. My face was balled in anger. I looked up at Tim.
“What can we do? Should I tell Divinity what we found out? Is she safe in her home?”
Tim didn't miss a beat.
“Do not tell her just yet. If she begins to act strangely, someone will know and that could put her in more danger than her not knowing. I will get a few people I know how and trust to help me with this situation to keep close tabs on everyone and to find out who's pulling the strings behind the scene. But do not say anything to anyone… Not even Damien.”
He gave me a knowing look and I rolled my eyes. I was gonna run right to the asshole and bring his ass down to ground level. But Tim was right. I don't know what he's doing and he may have well done the same thing I'm did when Olivia pulled that bullshit back at the ball a month ago.
“Keep me updated. If anything becomes too suspicious or things look like it's about to come to a head, you notify me immediately. Am I clear?”
“Yes sir.”
He stood to leave and got to work. My mind was reeling from all the information I was just given. I was nervous to find out what could be happening under my nose. It all seemed too thought out to be on a whim and too many things were happening at once to be classified as a coincidence. Divinity’s crying face flashed in my mind and it caused my heart to ache. I knew then that I had to protect her as best I could. I would do anything to make her happy and that includes keeping her safe, even if she doesn't know it.
My phone rang and it brought me out of my cluttered consciousness.
Phone call:
Me: Hello
Divinity: Hey. Um… do, do you have time to come over tonight? I need to speak with you about something and it can't wait.
I looked down at my phone. I didn't even realize she called me. I was too into my head to pay attention to who called.
Me: Sure. I can be over in an hour or so. Is that fine?
Divinity: Yeah, that's fine. Thanks.
End of phone call.
I looked at my phone for a second. I wasn't focused and too concerned with what I was just told. I shook my head tryna get my bearings and started getting ready to head to Divinity's. I took a deep breath and smiled once her beautiful face popped into my head again. I also thought about the food she made last time and hoped she made some food tonight that I could steal from her. The idea alone calmed me and made me relax. I was nervous about not being able to tell her what was going on but also nervous about what she wanted to say to me. She didn't sound angry over the phone, so that was a good sign. I hopped in my car and headed her way.
This some bullshit! What is he doing here?
Our eyes met and my anger welled up within me knowing he could very well be putting her in danger. My eyes softened when they landed on Divinity but immediately went back to cold once he spoke.
“Raphael.”
You think you're untouchable. You think your secrets are unknown. Just wait. Just you wait.
“Damien.”
