I walked up to the conference room and overheard Divinity and Robin's end of conversation. I watched as they both embraced each other and Divinity's last comment.
"Of course I'll be the man.You know I like to be in control, sexy."
They laughed at each other, but I couldn't get her words outta my head. Both Divinity and Robin are beautiful women. I'd love to see them both take turns pleasuring each other and then turning their attention onto me. Looking at Divinity, her words replayed in my head, and I wondered how she would dominate me if she indeed could. Before my mind could fall deeper into the trenches, I decided to make my presence known.
"Good morning, ladies. I'm happy my laptop could bring such happiness."
They turned to me and stepped away from each other. Robin decided to add fuel to my already burning flames when she tapped Divinity's ass. I watched their interaction. I know both her and Robin are close, so this is normal for them, but it was still f*****g hot. James escorted Becker and his son Damien in the conference room. I stood and greeted them and offered them seats. We always allowed for a few minutes for people to settle before beginning a meeting. I looked over and noticed Damien watching Divinity. His eyes scanned her face and body and it was pissing me off.
Why is any of this bothering me so much?
I get I may have a little crush or something close to infatuation with her, but it shouldn’t irk me this much.
Bringing my focus back to Divinity, she felt his gaze and looked over and began scanning him as well. She noticed he was watching her and shyly smiled her heart-stopping smile, and he returned the favor. I did not like where this was going at all. It's like he came here and immediately began checking her out. Like she was the sole purpose of his being here.
Divinity began the meeting and started banter with Becker. He's told me how much he's enjoyed her company and conversation. They speak very informally to each other. This is the reason why she is great at her job. She makes everyone feel comfortable around her. I was brought out my thoughts when Damien's voice entered the chat.
"I’m not offended at all. If all it takes to make my father happy is to not even know who I am, then I believe my wife is found. She’s quite beautiful, as you said, father, but I wasn’t expecting such a gorgeous woman to stand before me."
I practically growled at his words. This asshole was trying to move in on my woman!
…
The f**k!!?
When the hell did I start seeing her as mine?
The rest of the meeting I was fuming. I wanted it to be over so she could stop being around him. She still had her blazer off. I loved looking at her, but all I wanted to do was cover her so no one else could see what is suppose to be mine. Every time she turned around to the screen, Damien's eyes would freely roam over her ass, dropping lower to her legs and back up. It took everything in me not to end this meeting and steal her away. By the end, Becker was on board and was congratulating the team. He came over to speak to me.
"So, you finally got me hooked, line, and sinker."
He patted my shoulder and shook my hand.
"Haha, yeah, finally. It only took 2 years but we're here. You won't regret this and can assure you everything will be done in a timely fashion."
"Oh, I'm not worried at all. Besides, your staff is topnotch and more importantly you have Divinity on your side. I swear with her, anything can be done. That girl has a way with words. She could sell ice to Eskimo. Treat her well. I'm sure there are plenty who would love to steal her away from you, myself included."
We both chuckle at his comments, mainly because we both knew it's true. Divinity is well known and liked throughout the industry, and many have had their eyes on her.
"Yes, I'm well aware of that. That's why I try to keep her as happy as possible here and basically entrust her with everything. I'm just here to sign off."
"Good. Keep it that way. I would love for my son to find someone like her. Beautiful inside and out, intelligent, and a diligent worker. I'm honestly surprised you haven't tried to snatch her up yet. She's been here for years now and she seems to be unphased by your charm. Hahha, maybe Damien’s could work on her. If she can't work for us, she might as well marry into the family."
He chuckled away while I was cursing his ass out in my head. No one will take her from me. She's mine!! Just as soon as I was about to end my conversation with him, I noticed Divinity had lost her balance and almost fell. Damien grabbed and held her against him. I immediately charged over to see if she was alright. He held her tightly and she seemed comfortable in his embrace. I hated it.
She spoke to me to inform me she’s doing alright and just needed some food and leaves with Robin headed toward the cafe to eat. I stood next to Damien, watching her leave my sight.
"You have a real winner on your hands."
I looked at him, annoyance written on my face.
"I know, I'm very lucky. Which is why I'd never let her leave this company. I'd do anything to keep her happy here."
He shifts to look me in the eye.
"Yeah. I doubt she’ll ever leave your company for another. But that wasn't what I meant."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I mean, she's been here for 4 years, and you've never thought about dating her? Not only is she amazing at her job, but she's stunningly beautiful. You have a gem in a basket of rhinestones."
"How do you know I haven't already dated her?"
"I know. Maybe she'll give me a chance."
The bastard had the audacity to smirk at me like he knew I was lying. He started to really get under my skin.
"You're really confident for a person she's never even heard of until today."
"And if I play my cards right, she'll be saying it all night for the rest of her life. It seems to me you want her, and for whatever reason, you've never attempted to have her. And now that I've seen and gotten to know Divinity a little, I want her. I hope you're ok with a little competition, Mr. McCoy. Once I set my sights on something or someone, I don't quit until I have it. Don't worry about the deal. I’d never do something to hurt her, and to disturb this collaboration she and your other employees worked so hard on is included in that."
I stepped closer to him, trying to keep my anger under wraps.
"Watch yourself, Damien. She. Is. Mine!"
I leave the conference room and head to my office. I need to calm down. He wants to play games. Let's play. Once I reached my office, I hailed Sarah in. As much as I wanted Divinity, I knew she wouldn't just fall on her knees for me. I needed to release some tension.
There’s a knock, and my door opens. It’s Sarah.
"You called for me, Mr. McCoy?"
