ADRIAN'S POV
I didn't know when it started or how but I can't seem to stop now, I mean i tried but I can't really stop now, I lost track of the presentation a long time ago, I don't even know what she was saying at this point, even though my eyes is on the presenter, infact my eyes is not just on the presenter, I was studying her, her features, the way her hands curved around the marker in her hand, her long hair touching her shoulders, it's raven black color which is in contrast with her white pale skin, her bangs almost covered her eyes . Her eyes... She had ocean eyes, that looked half rimmed like she's feeling sleepy, but she's anything but sleepy, as she actively pointed to the board explaining the working and operations of the car. I don't know why, but I just can't get over the form of her walking around from side to side explaining the details and uniqueness of the car, the whole table watching and listening with rapt attention clear intrigued, it seems like I'm not the only one entranced. I'm not usually like this, I know I rarely care about presentations and meetings but, I'v never blanked out totally forgetting the whole essence of the meeting, but i guess it can't really be helped since the presenter is one gorgeous human being walking around in front of me with her mad curves that I don't want to bring my attention to yet, because that will be another story.
" That will be all Sir, if it's all right and there's no other questions, then we can then proceed to the exhibition" She said
I gulped as she finished, her attention now on me waiting for my response, my eyes was trained on her face as the smie still remained on her face, her eyes squinting at me in curiosity, I don't know why on earth I'm not saying anything yet, I was still in a trance when I felt someone pinch my thigh, I turned to Adeline who raised her brows at me urging me to acknowledge the girl standing waiting for my response, I cleared my throat as I manage
"Ugh.. it's fine, that was alright..I .I mean it is great, the presentation was nice," s**t I can't believe I'm stuttering right now, Immediately shifted my gaze from her, if I keep looking at her I'm likely to say rubbish , I turned to the investors that look visibly satisfied with whatever she has said , which I am grateful for because I have no idea of what she said.
"I think that's satisfying enough, let's go to the exhibition hall to try the car" I said to them making them nod as they stood up, each walking out of the room.
I breathed in, as I stood up walking out as well since I have to be the one to lead them to the exhibition room, Adeline who was talking with one of the investors as they walked out, came to walk beside me .
" What happened back there, are you alright??" She asked still walking and keeping a straight face, I just shook my head trying not to bothering to answer her, now I want to keep my head straight and probably aviod looking at that ocean eyes again and focused on the exhibition.
We all went into a large room like an underground basement, but very spacious with a lot of light
There was a stage that was lighted and opened revealing a very super model sports car, Mikeh walked to the stage to turn the car on, and it opened revealing the open roof, the investors were impressed as they all clapped, I walked to the stage with Adeline as they all walked together to cut the ribbon with reporters taking pictures and recording the whole event.
I shook hands with all the investors as the car was officially launched, I turned to see Adeline shaking hands with the girl that got me hooked during the presentation, I have deliberately avoided getting too close to her or acknowledging her presence, even though she was standing right behind me all this time, now the whole event is finished as the important people started leaving, my eyes found hers as she smiled at me, probably waiting for my compliment, I think she is a rookie employer, because I haven't seen her before, though the company is big I still know some major persons , at least someone the company trusted enough to hand over a big presentation to handle. I don't know her before, she is either a rookie or a former employee from another branch, either way she is here and is standing before him looking as tempting as ever.
"Her name is Louisa, she is a rookie employee, she is not supposed to handle the presentation, but the head of the P.R team had a hospital emergency, so she replaced her, I was worried she will make a mistake, but she unexpectedly made a huge impression, so I'm glad"
Adeline introduced me to her smiling as she looked at her clearly impressed, my hands were in my pockets as I stared at her from her head to her toe trying to keep my cool and not blow it .
I looked at Adeline that was staring at me with the expression that says " take your shitty hands out of your pocket and at least compliment her for a good job"
I took my hands out of my pocket stepping close enough to offer her a hand shake which she took happily, her soft hands coming to clasp around my own
" Thanks Louisa, you did a great job" I said making her smile widely, her pearl white teeth showing her happiness making me involuntarily tighten my hold on her hand my index finger curving inside of her palm making her look at me with a surprised expression.
"Thank you Sir it's not a big deal" she said withdrawing her hands making me realize what I was doing, I slipped my hand out of hers, turning to leave immediately, I didn't do that on purpose, I don't know why I reacted like that when I saw her smile, I sighed, today was a lot, I checked the time it's already 4pm, no wonder I felt so hungry, I'm going to think about Louisa later on, now I need to go and satisfy my hunger
