Behind the minor demons, Phantom and Anubis walked slowly, still in human form, watching the c*****e with delight. Samael and Cassandra took out their swords, their faces solemn, and headed towards them. Anna fixed her feet firmly on the ground and, in one graceful movement, drew her bow and notched an arrow to the string, ready to launch it at the demons.
Holding her hands together, Tenshi took a step back and began to whisper and chant underneath her breath. After she completed each incantation, she threw her arms forwards and sent faintly shimmering light in the direction of Nightfall. With each shimmer that spread over them their defences improved; they gained speed or confidence and any minor wounds were healed.
