Chaos"s heart churned. The public were going to vote? Anathema wouldn"t stand a chance. “In this matter,” Callista continued, “we need to consider a number of things. First of all, Syfer acted wholly irresponsibly. It was terribly unfair of him to antagonise Anathema, especially when he knew he was trying to fit in. Syfer should have known better than to attack a once-demon. This is a man we had been hunting for being malicious and cruel. To wind him up in such a childish way was certainly going to bring about some response. That much was to be expected. “However, his punishment for this foolishness was brutal and cold. Anathema, you had been given a chance when you didn"t deserve one. You were given one chance and only one. We will not tolerate that kind of behaviour within our ranks. Y
