ABOUT KATHLEEN MURPHEY
Kathleen Murphey is an Associate Professor in the English Department at Community College of Philadelphia. She has a PhD in American Civilization from the University of Pennsylvania.
She has published poetry and short stories (mainly fairy tale retellings) through The Voices Project, Writing in a Woman’s Voice, Pennsylvania Literary Journal, among other platforms. Her collection of fairy tale retellings, Other Tales, is available through sss. She turned her short story, P Pan and Beyondland, a retelling of the Peter Pan story with l***q+ identifying characters, into a play which was performed as part of the 2018 Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
