In three seconds the light on the control desk went out. The head cameraman removed his headphones and stepped down from his pedestal. There was a general easing of tension. Jim Yewell felt a strong hand on his shoulder. He turned around and looked up into the face of Captain Hazard. “Did he rehearse that?” Hazard asked in a clipped, hard voice. “Not him,” Jim replied. “The English language is his personal property.” Hazard vanished without another word. Dick Simmons felt some instinct deep down within him telling him to run, and fast.
