Chapter Fourteen ~June 22~ Lady Rivers looked curiously at the piece of chicken the footman, George, had served to her. Before she could say anything, however, Diana said, “I believe you had ordered the cook to make partridge for this evening, Mother.” “Yes, that’s right. But this looks like chicken,” Lady Rivers said, poking at the offending poultry. “It is.
