So the dark prince finally took a mate. I have been waiting for years for this to finally happen. I will kill his mate just like he took mine from me. 3 years ago, he came to my pack lands and took everything from me. The Kingdom didn't like how I ran things in my pack. He gave everything to Alpha Knox. I will take back what's rightfully mine.

After I got exiled out of the Kingdom, I became the new leader to the rouges. They all call me their king. We will fight and take everything they have.

I mindlink linked one of my men to give me an update about shadow, and if he successfully got my message to the bloody prince.

Yes, sir, and he was able to get away without a trace. He left no trail leading back to where we are, Sir.

I smiled wickedly at his reply.

I had a long time thinking about what I would do, and my time had finally come. I know where their weakest parts are on the border of the land. We can now enter without being detected and leaving a trace. I can't wait until I get my hands on his mate. First, I will torture her until I have no more use for her. Her death will be slow and agonizing. Like how I have been feeling these past years without my mate. That mut killed her in front of me. She sacrificed her own life to save mine so I could get away and revenge her death. Today is the day I will put my plan in motion.

A black cloud formed, and Shadow appeared. His grin says it all. " She is a pretty little wolf, my lord. I can see why the prince took her to be his."

"I will enjoy torturing her then. Maybe I will even let you have a little fun with her after I am done with her." I replied

"He keeps her chained up and locked up in his room. When we get her, she will be very obedient, thanks to him. I will have to stay close and see what their routine is. Pine point when the right time to kidnap the princess."

"We will have to make sure it's at a perfect time. I will have a diversion, so the prince will be nowhere near the Kingdom when you make your move to collect what's owed to me," I mentioned,

He nodded in agreement and vanished like the shadow he is. Now it's time for the real fun in my plan to come to life.

Steph Pov:

I was so lost into my paints that I hadn't noticed that the fire was almost out. I got this creepy shiver down the back of my neck like something or someone was watching me in the shadows of the trees. I tried to ignore it because I was painting a dark picture of the forest view.

I got up to put more wood in the fire when all of a sudden, a shadow was moving in the shadows of the room. My wolf on alert, and I knew I wasn't alone. I could her my heartbeat beating so loud. The only place I knew where to hide was in Zach's closet. Behind his clothes was a little door for storage. It was small, I knew I could fit, I was small enough. I saw the shadow heading to where I was painting. His back to me, as I ran as fast as I could to my hiding spot.

I heard Zach enter our room in a full rage. He told me to stay hidden. He roared so loud that the walls where shaking and spiked fear into my soul. I could hear him smashing things in the room. A loud howl erupted, his hellhound was out and looking for blood. Then it went dead silent. I'm not sure how long I sat there holding my breath. I was terrified, I couldnt shake the feeling the shadow gave off. It was soul sucking that chilled me to my bones.

What seemed like a life time. I finally got the courage to come out. I saw my painting with claw marks. It was almost in pieces. I seen red writing on it. I put it back to get the best I could to see what it read. The only thing I could make out was A kill for a kill. Was that meant for me. I knew Zach must have a lot of enemies just because he is prince. I never really thought my life would be in danger because of him. I feared him and now I have worry about this too.

With all of this information and overwhelming emotions I was extremely exhausted. How could I sleep knowing someone wants me dead because I am marked by the dark prince. I stated to clean up the mess to try to keep my mind busy from what happened. I got everything picked up and the room was back to normal. I put on a silk night gown and sat on the bed. I still didn't want to sleep to wash over me. I was afraid of the nightmares that might come and haunt me tonight.

I was running away but everywhere I turned I could see the shadow. It would jump from each dark place to another. I had nowhere to go. Just as the darkness was closing in on me, I felt a warm embrace and the moon shined down to eliminate all the darkness around me. My slumber peaceful again.

I felt heavy arms around me when I woke up. It made me feel safe and protected. Before I opened my eye I knew it was Zach holding me like his life depended on it. He could be so cruel to me and yet I have never felt more safe then in his arms. His sandwood sent was overpowering my sense. I swear I could start to feel the mate bond with him. Was it because he marked me or was it because we are actually fated mates. I thought if you are fated mates you can tell right away. Just like Nikki and Jordan. Why the delay with us. Did he know the moment he seen me. Was there something wrong with me that I didn't notice my mate right away. Do I want him or do I try to leave. It will be way more difficult now that I where his mark.

I shifted my body to look at Zach while he slept. I made sure not to wake him. He looks so sexy sleeping peacefully. I lightly touched his shoulder, feather tracing his back, side and back up to his shoulders. He moaned to my touch. I started to get that tingling feeling between my legs. I better stop before I wake him I thought to myself. As I pulled my hand back and closed my eyes. "Why did you stop, Zach said in a husky voice."

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."

"You woke me up with whatever was going through your head a few minutes ago. Remember I can feel every emotion coursing through you, He said with his eyes still shut.

I didn't know what to say. I opened my mouth to say something but shut it again because no words came out. He pulled me tighter to him and said, " Go back to sleep little wolf, we had a long night'

Tomorrow I will try to get more awners. I closed my eyes and slowly drifted back to sleep facing each other.
