Zachs POV:

Weeks have gone bye with no signs or leads to what that shadow is. The elders are doing their own research on what I am dealing with. I need answers soon. Ever since that night. I purposely work late in the office. I will offer to do the night border run. I will either sleep in my office or head to bed after Steph is asleep and leave before she wakes. I avoid her as much as possible. Lost in my thoughts. Jordan walked into the office.

"Hey, are you sure you and Steph don't want to share the ceremony day with us."

"No." I said in anyonace.

"Come on, man, everyone can see you been avoiding her like a plague."

"I don't care what others see. It's none of anyone business what I do with her, I grunted.

"Nikki mentioned that Steph looks lonely. That she doesn't feel like herself lately. Maybe you can spend time with her or let her hang out besides locking her in your room all day. " Jordan said with a scowl.

"I never order her to stay in my room. She can roam the castle if she wants. That's her decision!"

"Little wolf is very obedient, Ace howled with approval.

"Not going to happen, Ace! I will not let my guard down with her. She is only here to calm the beast within. My temper spiking just thinking about her. Little wolf can still p**s me off when she hasn't done anything. But know people are noticing her absence.

My palms are staring to twitch, feeling the urge to go tie her up and spank her a** so hard that she won't be able to sit for a week. Ace is edging me to go to her. Putting images in my mind.

"Enough, not happening. Blocking Ace off.

Meanwhile, Jordan is going on and on about something.

"So, what do you say. Can Seph go with Nikki."

"Go where?

"Dude, really, I just told you. Nikki is going to go dress shopping. She wants Stephanie to be there . I will make sure the strongest warriors are with them," Joard replied.

"If anything happens, I will k*ll you first," I said with a smirk.

She will be ready in 20 minutes. Leaving the office to go have a little chat with my little pain in the a**.

Stephanie was quietly painting on the balcony. I watched her for a while until she tensted up realizing I was here. She had a few drawings laying all around. Already painted pictures laid in a pile in a corner.

As I walked to her, my eyes wondered on a drawing left on a table. It was dark, It looked like a creature that was crawling it's way out of the deepest part of hell. The flesh rotting from its face with a broken jaw. The body and limbs bent in an unnatural way. I have never seen anything like it. If you stare at for too long, it would literally crawl out of the paper. Suck your soul right out of you.

I was intrigued to see more of the dark little artist in front of me, but that would have to wait for another time.

Stephanie put her paint brush down and walked over to the carpet with her head down. She kneeled and put her hands in her lap.

"Good little wolf, Ace howled.

"You remember little one," I said with a grin.

She kept her head down and refused to make eye contact with me.

"Alright, little wolf, you want to play mute now. As I grabbed the back of her head and tilted upward so she could look at me as she awnered.

"Why should I. You didn't ask a question. It was more of a statement." she hissed.

"Are you trying to p**s me off! I roared. Now inches away from her face.

"And I can't be p**sed off at you. I can't get angry or show any emotion. HOW IS THAT FAIR," Steph yelled back.

Gripping her hair tighter in my fist. "You and your smart mouth will get you in trouble. I will tell you how to feel and when to feel it. I control what's mine. Trust me when I say you will be punished to my liking."

"F**k you, Dont touch me. " she screamed back.

"You don't see it, Little wolf. I can, and I will. I promise I will fulfill my need, but there is not enough time. I will make sure to make this one last long enough to let it sink into your tiny skull of yours.

I pushed her forward as she fell hard on the stone floor. It knocked the wind out of her.

" Get your sh*t together. You are going dress shopping with Nikki for her ceremony. Pick one out for yourself. Make sure I will approve!"

Steph just glared at me with hate in her eyes.

" If it's to reveling like you like to wear, then I will just present you butt a** naked for the whole kingdom to see." I demanded.

"You wouldn't!" Little wolf gulped

"Try me and find out," I challenged

With shame, she lowered her head. "Yes, Master.

I watched as she struggled to get up off the floor. Still dizzy from the impact of me. She rubbed where the pain was coming from. I moved over to her and pulled her up to her feet.

When she looked into my eye. I could see the fire of hatred for me. I have to be mean in order for her to not fall in love with me. I will not let that happen. She is here for my demon. She will not make me weak.

With a cute little sigh," I'm ready to go with Nikki now!"

"I will walk you down to the garage, I grumbled

When I opened the door Aurora jumped into my arms, her legs wrapping around my waist, kissing me with force. I squeezed her a**. To see if my little wolf would get jealous.

Stephs face went pale and could feel the pain of me touching and kissing a shewolf that wasn't her. Steph grab her chest and started to have a hard time breathing.

I pulled away from Aurora." You can walk yourself down to the garage. I got other things to do" I smirked.

Aurora started to laugh as I lightly pushed Steph out that door and closed it with Aurora still attached to me.

Once the door closed I pulled her off me. It felt like I had bugs crawling under my skin. Aurora was a sl*t and a good bang once in a while. Now I have no desire for her.

"Look Aurora it was nice for you stop bye but you have to leave. I'm not in the mood." I stated

"I've been gone for too long. I just got back from Italy. I thought we could start where we left off." she purred.

"I have chosen a mate." I added.

"Oh babe, That's why I rushed back. I knew you would always choose me". She beemed

"Aurora, It's not you. Now Get out," I barked.

"Was it the girl I just seen. She is to be Queen. She will never be able to release you like I do."

Ace howled, " She never was able too. You always had to fake it. Shaking his head in discuss.

"Get out now. I have enough problems and I don't need you in the mix. Go back to your pack, I commanded.

"You will be begging me to come back. You wait and see." With a huff she left slamming the door behind her.

"You dodge a bullet with that one. Steph is the only one for me," Ace purred.

Jordan mindlinked me, Let's go for a run.!
