The one that got puked on

1942 Words
Emmelien, Before I could react, he slammed me against the window, I was now facing my soon to be killer. Is it bad that I don’t feel anything? Have I gone numb? I should panic, any normal human being should panic when they know they’re about to die, but I’m far from normal now. My vision began to blur, my head couldn’t take it anymore. The beautiful man was even more beautiful up close. Yes, I can’t see sh*t right now, but his face has never been clearer. Oh, nope— his face is also beginning to blur from my vision. “What’re you doing here!?—” Huh, he’s English? “—I should f*cking kill you right here!” I don’t need to see his face to know that he is furious, but does he HAVE to yell in my ear? I wasn’t deaf, but I am now! “W-what are y-you—.” Talking is getting harder and harder, my mind slipping away again “—T-t-talking—.” Before I finished talking in gibberish, he cut me off. “Oh, quit the bullsh*t! I didn’t hurt you!” His hand touched the back of my head and I flinched at the sudden movement. What is he doing? And to be honest I’m extremely disoriented, trying to push him away would only end in me kissing the floor. So, I let him touch me, I’m way too exhausted to fight him. He pulled his hand back and saw it was covered in blood. Do I really see shock on his face? Is he shocked that I bleed? Like everyone and everything else on this planet? “Why are you bleeding?” Oh. My. God! Is he serious? Why do I bleed? Well maybe because you just f*cking pushed me against the window! You should work for Sherlock Holmes, Bastard. He stood there for a while, still pushing me against the window until, oh no— I don’t feel so good. “I-I don’t f-feel s-so go—.” And I puked. My effort in warning him was in vain because he immediately cries out in disgust. If the situation was different, I would’ve laughed, but now it seems highly inappropriate. I do feel better though. “That’s f*cking disgusting!” he calls out and looked even more repelled after he saw his shirt, but he didn’t let me go. “My bad” I said, not that I should apologize for him almost killing me. “I don’t have— anything, so please—please let me go.” I begged. I’ve already lost everything, so I don’t give a f*ck if I must throw all my pride away. “Please! Let me go…” He still looked at me with all the disgust in the world… Well, I DID puke over him. So, yeah. I was trying to figure out a way to escape from his grip. As I scanned the area for an escape route, I make the mistake to look in his mesmerising eyes. His irises are light brown with a golden circle around the pupil… wow, from which factory is this guy? His appearance screams womanizer, but lucky for us he is as charming as a horse rolled in his own s**t. After what felt like an eternity of gazing in each other eyes—yes, he gazed right back in mine, looking for god knows what–I heard different voices and they were close, VERY close. “Ryker!? Ryker are you there!?” A voice shouted. His eyes widened. I panicked and screamed a little. He—Ryker puts his hand over my mouth to silence me and responded, “Yes, I just needed a breather. I don’t feel so good” back to the voices without leaving my gaze. His face came closer to mine as he whispered something in my ear, afraid that the voices would hear. “Here, take this—” and pushed a stone in my hand “—and go somewhere far, far away from this place, don’t trust anyone, and definitely don’t trust the dragon’s. If I we’re ever to see each other again you won’t be as lucky, now go.” Ryker let me go in an instant and I was free, but I did not move. His face was stone cold, he gritted his teeth and said, “this is the only chance you get so f*cking take it!” As if my legs finally know what he means I start running, I run as hard as I can and this time, I won’t look back. ~~~~~~~~~ I don’t know how long I’ve been running, I don’t even know where I’m going, because I’ve nowhere to go to. This Ryker guy is the second person today who warned me to only trust myself. I’m in big trouble. Why does he have to be handsome and harsh— I mean he could’ve asked me politely, but no, he shoved me against the window instead. B*itch. And what was all the bullsh*t about me being able to bleed? I really don’t get this guy. My pace slowed as I try to inspect the stone Ryker gave me. Why give me a stupid stone? Is this his way to say sorry? Hmmm, nahh, I don’t think the word sorry is in his dictionary. While I studied the stone, I felt my emotions surging back into my mind and I was no longer numb from today’s events. I felt it all coming back, I felt the pain, the loss, the panic, the fear, and I felt the anger. I’m so—so angry. I’m not angry at someone in particular, but I’m angry at the universe who thought that it would be a great idea for me to get the Amethyst or whatever, who thought I could handle this. News flash, I can’t! The tears made its way and flooded my vision, I fell on my knees, begging to make it stop, begging to take me from this everlasting nightmare. I don’t think I’ve ever cried this hard and ugly. I don’t even care if someone hears me or not. I’ve never wished for something this hard. ~~~~~~~~~~ It felt like I cried for hours because the sun was setting. It was getting dark, and I need a place to sleep. I wiped the salty tears away, stood up and tried to motivate myself. “Feel the fear and swallow back the tears. let weakness disappear, there's nobody but me here.” While I walk, I take a good look at the stone again. The stone has a red and brown-ish color and is shaped like someone glued multiple crystals together. Oh, it’s a crystal! Ryker is a little late for a valentine present… I sighed and put the crystal back in my pocket. I need to hurry the f*ck up ‘cause it is almost full dark and I don’t want to find out what lurks in the shadow waiting for me to be its next meal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Not much later I find an okay condition shed. I inspect the shed’s walls, hoping it won’t collapse. A few minutes of kicking and punching the shed later I declared it safe and went inside. Huh, very empty. The outside of the shed looked like a bunker, but the inside looks like a cabin with wood plastered on the walls, It’s actually stunning. From what is left of the cabin I can see it was completely furnished in a hunting with animal heads hanging above the fireplace kind of style. Sadly, for me, there is no fireplace. I hate this f*cking day…. It looks like nobody is living here and to be honest, I don’t expect any other survivors. As I searched for a couch to sleep on, I sensed the hunger I suppressed the whole day. Oh no, normally I’m not hungry because of my medication, but when I am hungry, I can eat so much… it hurts so much to be hungry, oh my god! I open all the cabinets, but I can’t find anything food related. Tomorrow is a new—stomach growls—day…. I walk towards the couch and try to find a comfortable spot for me to sleep. While I lay on the couch, I start to ponder about today’s events, again. Welcome in my ADD brain. I contemplate situations, I reflect my actions, I study loads of people’s facial expressions and much more. Imagine having a person in your head all day that talks non-stop about things that have happened or situations that may happen in the near future. F*cking annoying and from today I have enough to contemplate about. What am I going to do tomorrow? For starters, try to find food if you want to live… I go deeper and deeper in thought when I finally reach the telephone conversation with Paul. Paul did sound weird after the old bookshelf fell and it was only seconds before the world became the walking dead 2.0, I shudder at the thought of zombies and realized—oh —what if Paul lied and the crash wasn’t a stupid bookshelf? Did he know this was going to happen? Because when I wonder about it, it all makes sense. Paul called minutes before and he requested me to go to the basement, the strongest room of our house thanks to WWII… and something was already happening at his place. Deep in my thought I finally fall asleep… ~~~~~~~~~ I wake up at the smell of…Bacon? What the h— “Hello sunshine” a voice smirked from above me. The voice spooked me so hard I jumped and fell of the couch. I spot the voice and he was laughing at me? The guy looked like he is in his mid-twenties with honey blonde hair that would wave awesomely in the wind though and he has a big scar underneath his left eye. His eyes narrowed as he studies my lower body. Oh my god what a pervert. He walks closer to me and asks, “Where did you get that?” He took my hand and oh my god, it was glowing! My eyes widened and his facial expression softened as if he is relieved. The guy tried to take my hand, but I’m not going to let him touch me. Two people already warned me to not trust anyone so, f*ck him. He suddenly became much faster and took my other hand, yanked me forward, lost my balance and fell on the couch next to me. The guy observed me with his smug smirk look as he sat on my legs, YES, HE F*CKING SAT ON MY LEGS…. How old is he? 6? I tried pushing him off my legs but he only looked more entertained by my squirming. He c****d his head and spoke amused. “Ahhh there is so much you need to learn, couch girl.” pardon me? Couch girl? “Do you understand me?” he added. I need to say something! Em, think! He raised a brow and I realized he was studying me, so I shrugged and respond, “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.” Good job Em, you handled it perfectly… ~~~~~~~~ Ryker, “Ryker there you ar— what in crystal’s name happened to you!?” my crew mate Axe asked with a slight hint of disgust in his voice. I turn his way and hiss, “I—I puked.” Luckily for me Axe isn’t that observative and strides back to our crew after a few glances at the puke on my shirt. I gazed to where I pushed the girl against the window. What happened? Is she a survivor? I know enough to know that this isn’t good, I need to warn him… ~~~~~~~~~~
