Mila’s POV Why does he have to look so good?! I’m supposed to be mad at him, but one look at those dimples and i’m done for. I had calmed down a bit after we talked earlier, I felt bad because he was going through so much and I certainly wasn’t making it any easier on him. I think I believe him that he didn’t get back together with his ex-girlfriend, but i’m still hesitant. Being with Isaac would make my life so much more difficult and dangerous, do I really want that? “I think you and your family should move into my pack.” Isaac said nonchalantly. What?! He can’t be serious. I glared at him and chuckled in disbelief. “So you want my mother, my sister and I to leave our home behind and move into your pack? How will that work considering you’re supposed to ‘stay away’ from me?” I asked, using air quotes. He looked at me with his brown eyes and I was completely mesmerized. Ugh, get it together Mila! It was getting harder and harder to concentrate on a conversation because of our close proximity. “Well I still won’t announce that you’re my mate, but I won’t need to stay that far away from you if you’re a part of my pack. It wouldn’t look as suspicious at all to be seen together. You could get proper training, even Nora should start training, and your mother could work at the pack hospital.” He replied casually, like he had everything figured out. I had to admit, it was kinda smart and I liked the idea of more training for myself and for Nora. “Uh..i’ll think about it..” I mumbled. “Let’s go talk to your mom about it.” He said and then he got up and made his way out of my bedroom in a hurry. I sighed and followed him, he sure was determined. *** Isaac was definitely a smooth talker, he debated his point to my mother and she conceded. She had argued that my father hadn’t wanted to join the pack to keep us safe but Isaac made some very valid points that my father wasn’t here to protect us anymore so we needed the pack’s protection and my mother finally agreed. Isaac also promised my mother free lodging in one of the houses on his pack’s territory and a full scholarship for me to attend the University. Perks of being mated to a rich wolf I guess. My mother told us we would talk more about this at another time because it was getting late and she was tired. “Goodnight, Mom.” I said as I kissed my mother on the cheek and then sat down on the couch next to Isaac. He smiled warmly at me and then nervously fiddled with his hands. It really was getting late, but I wasn’t ready for him to leave just yet. As much as I tried to fight it, my body was betraying me, I needed to be close to Isaac again. “Well..I guess I -” He started. “Do you want to watch a movie or something?” I said at the same time. We both chuckled shyly. We were both still nervous around each other despite all the intimate moments we shared. “I’d love to, lead the way.” He said with a huge smile that makes me melt every time. We sat comfortably on my bed and I put a movie on for us. This felt nice, I loved being close to him. I glanced at him a few times and he smirked every time I did. He was so effortlessly handsome, I thought it was weird that I wasn’t fighting over him with more women to be honest. His brown wavy hair looked so soft, it took all of me to not run my fingers through them, and his body looked like it was chiseled by the gods themselves. I felt myself move closer and closer to him, until he wrapped his arm behind my waist and pulled me in tight. I laid my head on his chest and he laid his head on top of mine. We both sighed deeply, it was as if we had stopped breathing for a couple weeks and we were finally able to breath again. It was complete and utter bliss, our bodies molded perfectly together, I don’t know who this Mood Goddess is, but I think I owe her big time. Neither one of us dared to move a muscle, I think we were both scared that this perfect moment would be taken away from us too soon, so we just enjoyed being in each other’s presence until we both fell asleep. *** I fluttered my eyes open slowly, it was the best sleep I had ever gotten. I felt safe, warm and fuzzy all over. When I finally opened my eyes wide enough, I was met with my favourite pair of brown eyes. Isaac was gazing at me longingly, his soft brown waves were a bit tousled, I couldn’t help it, my hand had a mind of its own and I ran my fingers through his soft locks. He smiled lovingly at me and squeezed me tight against him. “I love you, Mila.” He whispered softly. I sighed internally, he had told me a few times already that he loved me. I wondered if he was expecting me to say it back to him, I wasn’t ready for that yet. *POP* We were both startled when we heard a noise on my window. Panic arose inside me, I wasn’t worried one bit about it being anything dangerous, I knew too well who was responsible for that noise. Isaac furrowed his eyebrows at me when I held him tightly, trying to keep him from going to check on the noise. *POP* I cursed under my breath, Tyler threw a second rock at my window, he was relentless. “Let me go check.” Isaac said firmly. I held on to him with all the strength I had. “No..just stay..” I pleaded. “Mila..” Isaac was still oblivious. “It’s just Tyler..” I said shyly, which made Isaac explode in anger. He shot out of bed and paced around my room, somehow he restrained himself from going to the window. I sat up in bed and looked at him, wondering what to do. “Tell him to leave.” Isaac growled. I didn’t even try to argue with him, the way his eyes were glaring into my soul, and the deep sound of his voice was a bit scary. I opened up the window and Tyler was standing outside smiling at me, but I could see a bit of concern in his eyes. “Hey Mila, are you alright? I heard you got in a fight last night. I tried texting but you never answered.” He asked with a panicky voice. I glanced back at my phone that was on my nightstand, it must of been on silent. Isaac was leaning on the wall across from my window, still glaring at me. “I’m fine, Ty. I have to go ok, i’ll talk to you later.” I said quickly and shut the window before he had the chance to say anything else and anger Isaac further, I didn’t want them to fight again. I had already witnessed what Isaac was capable of in a fight. “Does he do that often?!” Isaac growled. I sat on my bed and stared at him with my brows furrowed. “Do what?” I asked cautiously. He started to pace again furiously. “Does he come to your window like that often?!” He asked again angrily. “He used to.” I said with a bit of an attitude. He stopped dead in his tracks and shot me the most intimidating look I had ever seen. “DON’T.” He said loudly. “Don’t talk like that right now, Mila. You don’t know how tempted I am to run outside and tear his heart out.” I fought with myself to lash out at him, I needed to keep him and his wolf calm right now. I knew how it felt to lose control and I didn’t want Ty to be in the cross hairs. I slowly got up and walked towards him. I placed my hands on his waist and locked eyes with him. He instantly slowed down his erratic breathing and he gently placed his hands on both sides of my face. Sparks erupted from his fingertips and it traveled all the way through my entire body. I got up on my tippy toes and he bent down the rest of the way, meeting my lips with his in a slow and gentle kiss. He pulled me in closer and deepened the kiss, gently massaging my bottom lip with his tongue. I let out a soft moan in his mouth to which he replied with a low growl. I lifted my arms and wrapped them around his neck as I ached for him below my stomach. “No, dont!” I could hear my sister shout from the hallway. We both stiffened as we turned our gaze to my bedroom door as it opened and Tyler stood there with a shell shocked face. “What the..” Tyler mumbled. “GET THE F**K OUT!” Isaac roared so loudly that it shook the entire house. Run Ty, run.
