Kaira stared in amazement as the Glimmer approached Solace Retreat. The station was beautiful. It was created in the shape of a diamond, with four sides each tapering away to a single point, and a rounded section at the top.
It shone in the bright white light of a star which was close enough to be a large circle rather than just a small dot. She glanced over at Tarkus and saw him smiling slightly. She realised there was a smile on her own face too.
“It’s beautiful,” she said. “Did you know it looked like this?”
Tarkus shook his head.
“Not many people visit here who aren’t part of the Church. I don’t think I’ve ever heard this place described. I’ve definitely never seen a picture.”
