Kaira was still sitting watching the mists when Tarkus arrived on the flight deck. He grunted a hello, then settled down to work at the controls. Kaira stayed quiet, sensing he was worried about something, or maybe he’d just slept badly. Either way, she knew him well enough by now to let him be.
They weren’t far from reaching the transition point. Kaira started to wonder just what awaited them. Any place called Graveyard Junction was unlikely to be a pleasant stop off, but Tarkus had told her she’d find out just how it had ended up with such a name when they arrived. And that would be soon.
Tarkus said nothing more, not even to warn her they were about to leave jump space. He reached out, activated the controls, and the Glimmer slid smoothly back to normal space.
