Kaira sat nervously as the last couple of minutes passed before the second transition to normal space. Tarkus had made good use of the flexibility gained by his gamble of transitioning in the centre of the first stable patch of space. For the second he was aiming roughly halfway between the centre and the edge. His theory was that the pirates would either be in the centre of the stable patches or somewhere at the edge. It made sense to Kaira, but then she worried the pirates might have followed the same logic and changed what they did accordingly. Tarkus had admitted that was a possibility.
