Chapter 24-1

726 Words

24 Kaira was jerked from her dreams by the alarm. She pushed herself up to sit on the bed and struggled to remember what she’d been dreaming about this time. She couldn’t remember any details, but it hadn’t seemed anything too unpleasant. She’d quite happily take that after the nightmares she’d been having. She climbed out of bed, washed up, then got dressed and headed for the kitchen. Once there she made herself another coffee and breakfast. She took the time to eat it, finished the coffee, then headed to the flight deck. When she’d gone past before there’d been no green light on the outside. Now there was one. So either Tarkus had slipped out of his cabin without her realising or he’d already been in there but hadn’t wanted any company. Either option was a little frustrating.
