The Glimmer sat in the docking bay as Tarkus finished the shut down checks. Finally he nodded. “Come on,” he said, standing up. Kaira undid her straps and forced herself upwards. Her body felt heavy, as though the station was under more gravity than she was used to. “I’m not feeling great,” she said. “I think I’ll just spend some time in my cabin.” To her surprise, Tarkus shook his head firmly. “Come with me,” he said. They left the flight deck, which he locked down as always, and he led her down the stairs and into the hangar bay. She reluctantly followed him, feet feeling heavy the whole way.
