We managed to buy some new items for their new home before they moved in so that my mom wouldn't have to bring our old, broken items from home.
We bought a TV, a sofa, beds for my mom and the kids, and some kitchen and bathroom essentials including the cabinets. I wanted everything to be new before they moved into the new house, which made the kids very happy.
Except for my mom and sister-in-law. They were sad because of what happened to my brother. He was such a jerk.
