SUNDAY PAYDAY!!
Today is payday, which means tomorrow night will finally be my day off. Later, Auntie will hand out our salaries. Once she does, Aunt Zeny will head out for her own day off. She’ll leave before I do, though not until she’s finished all of her tasks.
“Give this to Sir,” Aunt Zeny said, placing a cup of coffee in my hands.
“Okay,” I replied.
Boss Matias is in his office, buried in work. Even though it’s Sunday, he still has plenty to do.
When I reached the door to his office, I paused and took a deep breath. Even with everything that has been happening between us, my heart still pounds every time I’m about to see him. I can’t stop the nervousness that creeps in.
