Mhalee's POV
The glass I was holding slipped from my hand, surprising my housemates, and I suddenly felt a wave of anxiety in my chest. I didn't know why I suddenly felt nervous and uneasy.
"Let me do it. Be careful; you might hurt yourself," my mom said while I was in the kitchen. I was just going to drink some water when I suddenly dropped the glass.
"Stay here for now," Mel said. She hadn't gone home yet and decided to hang out here because it had been a while since we last saw each other. "Are you okay?" she asked.
I nodded weakly while looking at my mom, who was cleaning up the broken glass on the floor.
"I'll just get the water for you," Mel offered, so she got my drink. Meanwhile, I took my cellphone from my pants' pocket to call Matias.
