This was a part of the country he wasn’t familiar with, even though he was well aware that they were only a county over from where he had lived with his mom. How long ago had that been now? It was where he’d met Andy. This was surreal, and it was bringing everything he had believed into perspective. This was so different than what he had imagined.
He took in the streetlights, the darkened mature neighborhood with trees and hedges and homes that were more than three decades old. The house he parked in front of was modest, two stories, something he’d love to get his hands on and really do something magnificent with.
