Chapter 06

"Uh-oh… "

She immediately closed the door ,resting her back against it

" That was definitely not the dress room !" naked Jessica thought out loud.  She shut her eyes closed and took in a long and much needed load of air  in order to calm down.

"When I said you may lock the door I was talking about this one !" Luca's voice from behind the door was audible to her ears  and her body froze .

Jessica opened her eyes in panic , Lucas must've been standing behind that door and her breasts were floating in the air.  Jessica's mind processed that she needed to protect herself  and so she reached out to the door knob and pushed the quick lock button at the center.  Jessica slowly put her ear against the door careful not to make a sound or move  by a single  millimeter.

She heard Lucas' footsteps moving further away from the door and breathed out in relief. Jessica  moved away from that door and went to check the other one.  Hopefully Lucas didn't get a glance at her naked breasts when she opened the door .

Or did he ? It was a possibility yet a weak one. Since her reflex was quick

Jessica  approached the second door, and made sure covering her breasts with one arm while she aimed the other to open it.

This time she pushed the door open, slowly . Afraid that she might get another surprise

''No more surprises please! " naked Jessica whispered to herself when pushing the door open. Yet she was surprised in a good way  , the bathroom  was immaculate. a wide  vintage-like  bathtub with a golden faucet, rested at the back o. To the left was the mirror and the hand basin and to the right she could see the passage for the dress room, It was nearly empty. she spotted the silk robe hanged along with  more formal  clothes and  few pairs of shoes on the shelves. She put on the robe and decided that she'll shower  the morning after.

Jessica went back to the bedroom , took off her lenses and laid down feeling comfortable. She pulled the covers to her chest and stared at the ceiling for a while.  Reflecting on what happened , she realized that Lucas was sleeping on the other side her room.

 3203 must've  had a common door , the one she opened earlier by mistake to find half-naked Lucas.  The image of his muscled back  popped up to her head and she thought about his hands around her , he way he swayed her , his scent and dark eyes. With her hormones all over the place, Jessica  tried to clear her mind off of him but she couldn't. he already got under her skin so she let her thoughts roam freely until her eyelids shut and she surrendered to sleep  .

A knock on the door startled Jessica, bringing her back from sleep. She opened her eyes despairingly  reaching out for her phone . her alarm hasn't rang yet. It was five in the morning. Too early for her yet, she flipped to the other side and  pulled the cover above her head.

Another knock was heard , Jessica whined and pulled back the covers , got up and walked towards the door .

 "I'm coming!" she answered at who ever  kept knocking .

  she opened finding no one at the door . Jessica frowned  the  heard another knock. It was coming from the other door.

She sighed mentally longing for her much needed coffee mug . reaching out and opening the common door her eyes widened when she saw  Lucas handing her a giant mug of coffee.

"Morning, I figured you'd need this at such an early hour" Lucas said handing her the mug. Jessica took it between her hands letting it  warming her hands before she took a sip. Lucas eyed her as she took another sip and another more.

 "thank you" she was able to say at last.

"I'm sorry to wake you up so early, but I'd hoped we could grab breakfast before I take you home, that way you'll have enough time to pursue your other activities"

"really, you don't have to, I can grab something on my way"

"Please I insist, after last night  like I said like to make it up to you," he said .

"okay, let me just freshen up and I'll be down in fifteen"

"I had something delivered to the room. I'll be waiting for you to join me then"

"Okay," Jessica nodded and walked  straight to the bathroom to freshen up.

 She opened the water and let it run over her body, the sensation was both refreshing and relaxing  at the same time. She wrapped a towel around her and walked out of the bathtub.  At the sink she could find all sorts of products including a gel cleanser,  soap  and a  toothbrush so she helped herself. And after she was  finished she dressed up. Choosing a formal outfit from the ones that hanged in the dress room, hopefully they were her exact size . After she finished she went to Lucas' room.

"Please come in!" he greeted her with a smile. Jessica smiled back . now that she was fully awake she already felt better.

" Thank you," she said as she sat down at the small table . The room was the exact replica of the one she was in only everything was on the opposite side .

Lucas poured her a glass of orange juice

"Did you sleep well ?" He inquired casually fixing her eyes. And  suddenly Jessica felt naked under his gaze .

"Yes, I can say that the beds are very comfortable at the  five stars plus, premium plaza hotel " she joked taking a sip .

" Our guests' satisfaction is our top first priority !" he said taking a sip from his coffee .

" I'm sure they all are"

 "How about you , are you satisfied?"

"Are we still talking about the bed accommodations ?"

" Yes, but if you want to say something else, please! Speak your mind , I'm all ears " he put  down the cup of coffee fixing her intensely.

"Is what Miranda said about your stepbrother, true ?"

"I don't see how this is relevant to  guests' satisfaction ?"

"It is to me "

"well, as I told you yesterday, Miranda is the queen of gossip! please, don't bother yourself with what she says"

"And the paparazzi ?"

"They make up stories to entertain those to whom, gossip is pretty much like breathing . they speak about everything, even  what they can't fathom, and you are a smart woman. I believe you do not deem everything that you hear out there, " He said with a mile and Jessica smiled back

"I assume you have experienced the assaults of the media  more than anyone in this room"  Lucas chuckled to her words

"Your assumption is correct"  he said, maintaining eye contact with Jessica who averted her eyes to her glass of juice trying to maintain a plain conversation without biting on her lips . Either her hormones were all over the place or this man got under her skin  with his perfect suite and back combed hair and his intoxicating perfume.

Or was it his touch  Jessica knew better than to let it out , hormones or not, she wouldn't let him get to her, or at least she would fight it until she went home. To her boring life.  Thinking about that Jessica glanced at her phone screen  that was resting on the table.  probably a text from Lilly she thought.

"If you're finished with your meal we 're clear to go"

"Yes please, let me grab my purse  first " Jessica excused herself and went fetching her purse and Lucas waited for her at the door .

When she came back hey exited 3203 and walked straight to the elevator, once inside Jessica thought again about Lucas pinning her inside that elevator last night but she held back  herself from picturing other things.

This was all in the past now , a night she would forget in the shadow of all the other nights that  she'll be experiencing in the future. She was glad about this to end , since the night wasn't a major success . Now she will be back to Jessica's shoes , she was no longer The black Rose and her identity will soon be forgotten the minute  she steps out of the premium plaza hotel .  And finally she'll be happy to spend her dollars on an expensive perfume.

But Lucas had other plans for her. He pushed the emergency button and turned to face her. He grabbed her hand and placed it between his palms. Jessica froze for a moment.

"Thank you ! for everything , I sincerely hope that we get to meet on other occasions , I really enjoyed your company  Thank you for trusting " he said absently rubbing her knuckles

" I only did my job !"

"And the breakfast ,"  he smiled . Jessica took a deep breath finally admitting to herself that part was more than a mere job to her as well.

"That was lovely," she smiled politely and Lucas pushed the button once more letting the elevator descend freely.
