I held onto Toby’s hand as we reached the receptionist's desk.
“Good day, Sir.” Her smile was wide and it was obvious that Toby was known in this boutique. “How might I help you?”
“I actually came by to take the pearl necklace I had bought for my wife.” He smiled, pulling me close to himself.
My heart skipped as he called me his wife. Was he doing this because Kenzie was here?
“Oh! I will get it for you, sir.” She went into the store.
