About a week had passed and after Anne's fallout to Tyler she hadn't had the heart to listen further to Hannah's story. She hadn't talked to Tyler about the hallway situation either.
Eventhough she really wanted to, she just couldn't find the courage to approach the boy.
Today was the day her father would return ans she did not like it.
Her father told her to meet him at Monet's.
Anne was glad that she wouldn't have to be alone with him. For now.
Standing at the door of her house she was overthinking what could happen. After a while of gazing at the front door she decided to get out of the house and into her car.
While holding onto the steering wheel she checked herself one more time in the rear view.
"Let's do this."
And that was the moment she sped off towards a normal day in the Jordan family.
Inside Monet's were a few people enjoying coffee and most doing other things like work or some chatting with friends.
Among these people was Tyler Down he just sat in silence working on his camera.
When the bell ringed signaling someone was entering the café, Tyler curiosity got to it's best and he looked up wanting to know who entered.
What he saw was the ever so beautiful Anne Jordan.
He wanted to speak with her again but was afraid she didn't want to have anything to do with him so he just avoided her as best she could.
He saw her sitting down at an empty table nervously biting her lip.
Something he noticed she would always do when she was nervous.
Her head turned and her eyes stared into his.
Tyler quickly looked down feeling embarrassed she caught him once again.
Once he looked up again, she was still looking at him.
To his surprise she smiled at him slightly.
Looking around to check if she was really looking at him, he turned back around to smile at her aswell.
The bell rang again and Tyler could see the expression on Anne's face change into something like fear.
Deciding it wasn't his to deal with he started drinking his coffee again planning on leaving soon.
Anne was looking at the camera boy when the bell rang.
It was him, her father.
She immediatly stood up from her chair and greeted her father with a nervous smile.
"Hello father."
He just nodded not looking very pleased to see his daughter once again.
The father and daughter sat down and the dreadful conversation started.
"How was your trip?"
Her father was playing around with the spoon of his drink.
The coffee his daughter had already ordered just for him.
"It was good."
It was silent for a while and Anne nodded nervously.
Her father began speaking but she didn't hear because all her attention was on the boy with the camera getting out of his seat and walking towards the door.
"Are you even listening, you ignorant child."
She looked at her father with guilty eyes and shook her head, looking down in shame.
Her father sighed in annoyance before continuing his conversation.
"As i was saying, i visited you mother."
Anne looked at him with big eyes.
"And?"
When she asked this question he began smirking at her.
"She thinks it should have been you who chose the wrong way and not him. She wished it was you. The only thing i have left now is a wife in prison and a useless child that would be even more usefull is she was dead."
Anne felt the tears coming up.
"Do you believe this aswell?"
Her father leaned forward looking his daughter in the eyes.
"I always wished we could get rid of you. You are useless, loveless and deviant. No one wants that as their child. You don't even deserve the Jordan name."
Anne's mouth was slightly opened. She tried to make sounds come out of her mouth but she couldn't due to the hurt and shock.
Her father smiled one last time and got up. Before leaving he kissed Anne's cheeck.
"Have fun at school tomorrow, darling."
He said in a sarcastic way.
Her father was out of sight and Anne felt like she could break down right there in the spot.
She just sat in silence trying to keep the tears inside.
But it didn't work.
More and more tears starting building up in her eyes and she never felt more alone.
Everywhere in the room were friends or couples sitting together while she was all alone.
She had nothing left.
Her father wished she was gone just like most of the people that actually cared for her were.
And to top that she ruined her chance with Tyler a week ago.
Wiping her eyes she let the tears fall down. She cried softly while covering the sides of her face with her hair so no one was able to see the poor girl cry.
The bell rang once again but Anne was to tired to look up.
Hearing the chair infront of her scrape against the floor she tought someone would just take it because there weren't enough at their table.
But to her surprise someone sat down in the chair.
When she looked up with her tears stained eyes she saw it was Tyler Down smiling at her sympethetically.
