Chapter 3: Ambush

(Tatsuo's POV)
"Ughh... where am I?"
"Ohhhh right, I need to go back to Yui"
"I can't move"
"I need to wake up"
"WAKE UP"
I woke up and saw civilians looking at me.
"Ohh he is awake"
"Oh thank god"
"You okay young boy?"
So many voices. I stood up and asked a civilian
"Excuse me, ma'am, have you seen some odd guys?"
"Yes, they went that way. What's happening here, boy?"
"Don't worry ma'am I'll take care of it. I need all of you to go in the last cart" I said as I made my way back to Yui
I sprinted my way back to Yui. On my way, I saw some guys blocking the way. One saw me and immediately alerted the other person with him "He's awake! Stop him!" Says the guy and they both pull out their guns and aim towards me
"They don't care about the civilians," I said to myself. They started firing at me. I hid in a nearby empty seat. They continue their shots, killing civilians in the process. The cart was filled with screams, crying and gunshots
"Tch.."
"f**k, I'm out"
"Me too"
"My turn," I said as I rushed towards them. "Oh s**t!" They said as they panicked. They tried to reload their g*n as fast as they could but I'm faster and kicked his partner in the chest. Launching him backwards
"You sonofabitch!" He yelled and pulled out a knife and tried to stab me. I noticed it and dodged but he still slashed me in my left arm. I tried to punch him with my right hand but he blocked it with his left arm. He tried to stab me again but I grabbed his right wrist and squeezed it
"ARGHH" He screams in pain and lets go of the knife. As the knife fell, I grabbed it and stabbed him in the chest, pushing the knife even deeper. He fell to the ground. I look around to find his partner. I saw him holding a civilian hostage. The civilian is wearing a bomb vest and he has the detonator on his right hand.
"Don't move or this girl is dead" He said smirking. The girl is crying and in complete distress about the situation. I stood up straight and looked at him in the eyes. "Good, if you don't want this girl to explode in a million pieces you follow what I say," said the guy
"Alright," I said
"Come towards me with your hands u-"
He stopped on his words as I threw a can at his face and rushed towards him
"Now you've done it," He said and clicked the detonator. Starting the countdown on the bomb. I rushed towards him and knocked him out. I immediately go to the girl and try to look for ways to disarm or remove the bomb.
"It's not budging," I said and grabbed the knife from the other guy's chest and cuts the straps of the vest and removed it from the girl.

"Go! Get out of here" I said as I rushed towards the nearest train door.

I broke the glass in the door and threw the bomb outside the train

The bomb exploded, shaking the whole train and almost derailing it. The guy wakes up and crawls towards a walkie-talkie in the ground
"Team C. What's going on there?" Says the person on the radio
I noticed the guy and went to him and grabbed the radio
"Now, do as I say or you die" I said while aiming a g*n towards him.
"Sh*t. Fine, just spare me"
(10:20 AM: Arriving at Mulston)
(Yui's POV)
*BOOM*
The train shakes because of the explosion.
"What the hell are they doing?" The guy said, still aiming the g*n at my head "Contact Team C" He said to the other person. He grabs a walkie-talkie on his waist and starts to contact whoever person it is
"Team C. What's going on there?"
Something is up, is it Tatsuo? maybe. I need to focus on my situation first
"Team C? Do you copy?"
"Keep contacting them," Says the guy with the g*n pointing at me
"Do you know any of this happening?" He asked me, threatening me with his gun
"OYY, SAY SOMETHING-"
He stops at his words as I punch him in the face. Sending him backwards and dropping the g*n.
"How's that?" I said, mocking him. I pulled out the knife in my thigh "ARGHH f**k"
"Now... My turn" I said and prepared for a fight
The person on the right rushes me and tries to grab me. I punched him and went to the other guy next.
"Stay away!" He says as he throws luggage at me. I dodged them all and went right up to him and uppercut him, knocking him out
*Gunshot*
I immediately felt something hitting me in my left arm. The pain was intense and my arm bleed quickly and started to lose force.
"That's cheating," I said as I endured the pain
"DONT MOVE" He said and threatened to shoot the gun
I smirked and took a step
"I SAID DONT MO-"
For a split second, I went from his front to his back in a mere second and sliced his throat. I look at the other guy. He was shocked and scared.
"HOW DID YOU THAT?" He nervously asked
"Well, that would be my secret" I replied and winked at him
I picked up the g*n and shot him
"Bastard," I said
"I need to regroup with Tatsuo"
I walked past the dead bodies and went to where the explosion happened... The pain is getting worse... I think I'm losing blood quickly... No time to think right now. I need to regroup with Tatsuo for now.....
(10:40 AM)
The train arrives at Mulston. The station is full of people. When the train arrived and opened its doors. Passengers immediately rushed out of the train in fear that they might get involved in whatever was happening inside the train. As people rush out of the train, gunshots can be heard inside the train. Scaring the crowd at the station. People outside the train saw someone running inside the train and a group following him behind, shooting the person running in front.
"Tch, they're still chasing me," Tatsuo said as he ran away from the gunners. He hides in an empty seat and reloads his g*n. Bullets fly over Tatsuo as he reloads his guns. He looks around to find something useful
"Keep shooting!" One of the thugs said
Tatsuo grabs a flash grenade from his pocket and throws it at the thugs, blinding them. Tatsuo immediately shoots back while the thugs are stunned. Three people got hit then he rushed towards the last two.
"What the f**k?!!??!"
"Surprise," Tatsuo says and punches the person on the right and faces towards the other person to kick him. The person he punched grabs him from the back and holds him. Tatsuo struggles to break free. The other person stood up and tried to punch Tatsuo but Tatsuo countered with a kick and headbutt the person on his back and broke free from his hold.
"f*****g bastard," Says the guy that got kicked as he pulls out a knife. Tatsuo notices it and prepares to parry the strike. The thug attacks him but Tatsuo parries the attack and punches him in the chest. Tatsuo grabs his right hand and steals the knife. He then proceeds to slice his throat and kick the thug. The other thug grabs him by his back and tries to choke him. Tatsuo struggles and gasping for air. The thug tightened up his choke on Tatsuo
"DIE YOU SONOFABITC-"
Tatsuo stabs right through his left eye. Killing him in an instant.
"No you," Tatsuo said as he tried to gasp for air
"This is a mess" Tatsuo said as he looked around. Everything is so b****y. Seats were broken because of the gunshots and the bodies of the thugs scattered around.
"I better regroup with Yui"
As Tatsuo was about to head out. One of the thug's radio turned on
"Tatsuo?...... Can you hear me??? *statics*"
"Yui?"
Tatsuo picks up the radio
"Yui?? Where are you?" Tatsuo replied
"Tatsuo?.. Are you there??" Yui keeps asking
"Yui?? Can you hear me?" Tatsuo keeps asking
(On Yui's side)
"Tatsuo?? Can you hear me?" Yui asks
"*statics* Yu-... Ar-.... you the-... *statics*
"Tatsuo?? If you can hear me, I'm at the 4th cart"
(Tatsuo's side)
"Tatsuo?? If you can hear me, I'm at the 4th cart"
"4th cart..."
Tatsuo went to see what cart number he currently is. He looks up at the sign and sees that he is on the 10th cart.
"I'm far from her"
"Tatsuo, let's regroup at my position. Contact me whenever you can"
"Wait there Yui. I'm coming"
Tatsuo puts the radio on his waist and grabs everything he finds useful from the dead bodies of the thugs
"I'm pretty sure there is more ahead of me. I need to be ready"
Tatsuo prepares his stuff and gets ready for the upcoming fight
"Like I said. This is gonna be a long ride"
