Chapter Seventeen
“We should be taking off soon, Miss,” the flight attendant said. “Some of the passengers are a bit late, and we’re waiting for them.”
“That’s fine.” nodded. “I’m in no hurry.”
The attendant smiled and nodded and walked away to notify the other passengers of the slight delay. turned back to the window. Across the tarmac she could see the small control tower and passenger terminal. Beyond them obscured by the haze, she could see some of the taller buildings of Gordburg. She sighed. She sighed again and smiled at her faint reflection in the window. She didn’t really want to leave here, since it meant leaving Greg…but it really was time for her to go.
