They Found Us....

Zane

We sat in the security room replaying the security footage over and over. It just didn’t make any sense. How the f**k did Terry escape? There was no possible way for him to make it out. The only people who had access to that room were all the five of us and my father. The video showed the guards standing guard the whole time. There was no evidence of foul play. No one entered or exited the cell. We had Allen make sure that the security footage wasn’t tampered with and it wasn’t. I sent out the special forces team immediately to track any scent or trace of Terry. He couldn't have gotten far; he was barely clinging on to life and his wolf was practically dormant, not able to heal him. We ramped up the security of the pack just to make sure that there weren't any surprise attacks.

I needed to get to the bottom of this but first I needed to let Elle know. I needed to make sure that their pack was on high alert. They may not know that she is my mate yet, but they do know that we have an alliance. I still don’t know who was behind this but I will find out. Terry and whoever else that were behind this were on borrowed time. All of this made me want to push all of the plans up faster instead of waiting a month, but I knew that I would be too much too soon. One month was already a short amount of time with all of the renovations that we had to do. Besides, I wanted to do the ceremony on the night of the blood moon. It was when my pack was its strongest. We always did the blood moon ball on that night along with a pack run. It would be the perfect night to celebrate merging our packs and having the luna and beta female ceremony.

We still didn’t know about Arie and Luca’s situation yet and if she would want to be introduced as the gamma female, but we still had time to figure it out. I decided to tell Elle all of the details tomorrow at the meeting with both packs, but I did tell her that Terry had escaped and that her pack needed to be on high alert. I offered to send some of our warriors over to help but she refused. I didn’t fight her , her pack was very strong and they had an advantage with having fairies. Of course, I was worried, but I didn’t want her to think that I underestimated the strength of her warriors or her pack.

We were finalizing the plans for the expansion and merging of the pack. We had professional plans drawn up by Zane's contractors so that we had a visual for both packs. However, we planned on using our fairy powers to build everything. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t reach the one-month deadline. Everything is ready for the meeting tomorrow. We were all nervous and a bit excited at the same time. I looked down on my phone when a text message came. It was from Zane. I loved getting text messages from him. I opened it and my smile fell. Terry escaped? How? This wasn’t good. I immediately told the others about the new development. Alex rushed out to gather the warriors. He wanted to increase patrols and also keep the fairy warriors on high alert. This wasn’t good. We needed to find him.

Tomorrow was the meeting with both packs. I could talk to Zane and figure out what we wanted to do next. I needed to make the portal to both packs. I left Talia and Arie and made my way to the library. I needed to learn how to make the portal only accessible to members of the pack. Though I did lots of studying and training when I first found out about what we were, I still had so much to learn, so every day was an opportunity for me to better myself. That was the only way I could protect my pack and the ones I loved. I found the charm that I needed to learn to do this correctly. I walked to my favorite spot in the packland. It was the spot I sat at on the night we first moved here. Turns out this spot is the closest distance to Zane’s pack. I did exactly as the book said and I made the portal. I was only visible to the members of my pack for now and would be visible to Zane’s pack after the ceremony. Tomorrow is a big day. I just hoped that things would turn out well and go smoothly.

I tossed and turned all night. The thought of seeing him again this morning was anxiety-inducing. What if he was with her again? s**t, I had to see her too. I was trying to be strong for everyone and for our pack, but this was going to be so hard. I rummage through my closet to find the perfect outfit to wear. I sighed in frustration. I needed Elle and Talia’s help. I went up to Elle’s floor and knocked on her door. She answered, still half asleep.

Elle

Arie? Why are you up already? We still have two more hours before we have to get ready for today. I looked at her and realized that she was a nervous wreck. I mind-linked Talia. Talia, we have a nine-one-one situation in my room, stat! Within minutes, Talia came stumbling in looking disheveled.

Talia

I’m here, I’m here, what's going on?

Arie

I’m sorry, but I can’t sleep and I don’t know what to wear and he’s going to be there and she’s going to be there and…

Talia

Shhsss…. It’s okay calm down, Arie, we understand. Don’t worry, I can find you the perfect outfit and have Elle snap it, but first let’s have a morning of pampering. Elle snap up some face masks and some great breakfast food. We are going to make you look so good that Luca is going to lose his mind.

Elle

I snapped all of the things Talia wanted. I was so exhausted I couldn’t keep my eyes open. After putting a cucumber over Arie’s eyes, Talia mind-linked me.

Talia

(Mind-Link): Elle, we have to do something about these two. I am so exhausted I am going to start looking like the Crypt Keeper. Look at these bags under my eyes! If Luca doesn’t fix this I am going to kick his ass! Now snap me a cucumber so that I can get rid of these dark circles.

Elle

I chuckled a bit. Talia was so dramatic at times, but I agreed with her we were all going to be sleep-deprived zombies if this didn’t get fixed soon, but I will still always be here for Arie, regardless of how many sleepless nights I would have. I just hoped that Mrs. Rose could break the curse soon. It was now seven-thirty and the meeting was in thirty minutes. All of the members of our pack assembled near the portal. The Crimson Moon Pack gathered in the auditorium was so large they made our five hundred members look like a joke. Zane, Allen, Luca, and Kiera were already standing on the stage up front. As soon as my pack entered the auditorium, some of the members of Zane’s pack tensed. I panicked, maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe they won’t accept us. I looked over at Talia, Arie and Alex, prepared to get everyone out if we had to. There were sounds of growls and, to my surprise, the words Mate and Mine! I was speechless. Some of the members of Zane’s packs were mated to our pack members. This couldn’t be more perfect. I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I thought for sure that this was all a big mistake. We all gave them some time to savor the moment before starting the meeting. I looked over at Zane with a smile on my face. He motioned for us to join them up front. I took a deep breath and walked up to the front and stood next to Zane. The room was quiet, everyone was curious as to what was going on.

Zane

I know this meeting was at the last minute and everyone is wondering why we are here today. Well, we are here to announce some major changes that are going to be happening to both packs. First I want to introduce the Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta of our new Alliance. The Sapphire Pack.

Elle

There were gasps and murmurs from Zanes’s pack.

Zane

I know..I know we don’t make alliances, but this alliance is very important. Not only is this alliance with the first ever female Alpha, Beta and Gamma, but these women are also our mates. My Luna Elle White, Beta female Talia and

Elle

Cheers erupted from both packs. I was relieved. Zane held my hand and kissed the back of it. Arie gave Luca a death glare but kept it professional by putting on a fake smile for everyone else.

This isn't the only announcement we gathered you all here for. I will let Elle explain the rest.

Elle

We also wanted to announce that we will be merging both packs together now. I know it is going to be a big change for everyone, but we made sure to plan everything out to accommodate both packs. Here on the screen you can see the plans that we have to make sure that everyone feels safe and accommodated. So here are the plans for the pack house renovations. We will be making it much bigger than it is now. We are also making additional jobs within the packs along with building additional housing. Talia clicked through the slides as Arie and I explained the full plans. After we were done, we opened the meeting for any questions or concerns. A little girl stood up!

Zane

Yes, Abigail, do you have a question?

Abigail

I am so happy that you found our Luna Alpha. She is so pretty. I want to be like her when I grow up. I am so glad it isn’t Katie, she is a meanie!

Abigail’s Mom

Oh my God, I am so sorry Alpha, Luna, Abigail sit down. That’s enough!

Zane

It’s okay and I agree with Abigail. I'm happy my mate isn’t Katie too!

Elle

Abigail’s mom was so embarrassed she tried pulling Abigail down to sit down. I walked off the stage towards Abigail. I got down to her level. You are absolutely gorgeous Abigail. Then I used my powers to snap a crown and placed it in her hair. Now you are just like me. Everyone gasped! I whispered to her, I am happy Katie isn't Luna either or I would never have met your Alpha. Abigail smiled and hugged me tightly. I hugged her back.

Mommy…mommy, look I am a real life princess!

Elle

The pack cheered for Abigail. I held her hand and took her up to the front as she waved to everyone, then she walked over to Talia and Arie and hugged them.

Abigail

You are pretty too, just like Luna!

Elle

Then she looked over at Alex…

Abigail

You are pretty too for a boy. Are you Delta Kiera’s mate?

Elle

Alex and Kiera looked at each other wide-eyed and shook their heads no.

Abigail

Well, maybe you can be my mate!

Abigail’s Dad

No mates until you are sixteen, young lady!

Everyone erupted in laughter!

Zane

In exactly three weeks from now, on the blood moon, we will have the ceremony welcoming the Sapphire pack and also our blood moon ball. We will be working on getting our plans done by then.

Alpha, how do you plan on getting everything done so fast? Three weeks is such a short time?

Zane

That is a great question. Your Luna and Delta Alex are both fairies along with some of the members of the Sapphire pack; they will be using their powers to complete all of the plans within this time frame.

I am half alpha wolf and half fairy, royal fairy to be exact. Alex is a full fairy, Arie is half mermaid and half wolf and Talia is half werebear and half wolf. Our pack consists of hybrids and fairies. I hope this answers some of your questions.

The rest of the pack joined him in welcoming us. The meeting was a success and I was finally excited about what the future has in store for us. Some of my pack members were already willing to stay in Zanes pack before the renovations were finished because they had found their mates. I couldn’t stop so I gave them my blessing. It was amazing to see that there were fairies and hybrids mated to wolves. I wonder how many people were out there still searching for their mates but couldn’t find them because they refused to date other supernaturals. Abigail's mother came up to me after the meeting and gave me a hug for being so kind to her daughter. Other members from Zane’s pack came up to us to introduce themselves and congratulate us. Finally, when everyone left, we all went to Zane’s office.

Zane

We still haven’t found Terry. There is no trace of him anywhere, which makes no sense. My team has been searching for him since we discovered that he was missing.

Elle

How did he escape?

Allen

We still didn’t know how he escaped the camera footage and did not pick up anything suspicious. It’s as if he vanished into thin air.

Talia

Did anyone tamper with the video evidence?

Allen

No, I checked it for any evidence of tampering and nothing.

Elle

I had a feeling there was magic involved. I didn't know how but there had to be that’s the only way Terry could make it out undetected. Take me to Terry’s cell. Zane led us down to the cells. We walked by his ex’s cell where she started to call out his name until she saw me following behind him. Her eyes widened. I see that your voice came back. I would stay quiet if I were you or you might just lose it again. She looked horrible, her fingers and burns weren’t healing. It was because of Amethyst. One of her new powers that she developed was the ability to make people's injuries heal at a slower pace by preventing their wolves from healing them quickly. I also did it to the girl Luca was sucking faces with after Talia hit her. I wondered how her face looked. We kept walking until we got to a secluded cell that had extra security measures. Zane placed his hand on the pad and the door opened as soon as I was in I felt it. It was dark, it was suffocating. Someone used dark magic to get Terry out of here. The question was who?

Stacy left that night after our big fight. I haven’t been able to get a hold of her and I don’t know where she was. I left that night to get a potion to get rid of her wolf so that I wouldn’t have anything bonding Cain to her that way. I wouldn’t have to reject her and not hurt the pups. I had it all planned out but the stupid b***h left without a trace. It had been two weeks since then and I still had no clue about where she had gone. I went to the stupid meeting at Elle’s mates' pack. I hated him, he was going to live the life I deserved with the only love of my life. I was glad when the meeting was over. I stormed out of there and headed back to the Sapphire Pack. We are merging the packs together in three weeks. This wasn’t good. I couldn't stand being around him and her. I needed to do something about this and fast and I think I know how!

Dark magic? Wolves hated witches, so the fact that dark magic was used is very surprising. Someone in my pack is a traitor and is also dabbling in dark magic. I needed to figure out who was behind all of this.

We left Zanes’s pack and headed home. The thought of dark magic makes me very uneasy. I hope we are able to find Terry soon and find out who helped him escape also. When we got home, I told Mrs. Rose about how everything went today. She was very happy to hear that everything went well. She behind with some of the warriors when we had the meeting just to make sure that everything was safe. I was exhausted by the end of the day and wanted nothing more than to lay in my bed and pass out, especially since Arie woke us up early this morning. I took a quick shower and then got into bed. I texted Zane good night and was ready to go to sleep when a mysterious gold object started floating in my room. I sat up on high alert and snapped on the lights. It was an envelope! I eyed it suspiciously. This couldn’t really be what I was dreaming. How was this happening? The letter kept floating until it landed on the table in my room. I jumped out of bed and ran to go find Mrs. Rose. I told her what had happened and we rushed to my room. She looked at the letter and then looked at me worried.

Mrs. Rose

I needed to see this with my own eyes. How could this be? I’ve done everything to avoid this, to keep us hidden.

Elle

Mrs. Rose, what does this mean?

Mrs. Rose

It means that they found us, it means that we aren’t safe.

Elle

Who found us? Why are we not safe?
