Officially Ours

Stark pulls into the parking lot of what I assume to be the lawyer's office and parks the car.

Stark : "You girls ready to do this ??" He ask Amelia and I.

Me : "As ready as I will ever be !!" I say excitedly.

Amelia : "Ready to do what Daddy ??" She asks with a confused look on her face.

Stark : "For your Mommy and I to become Your real Mommy and Daddy."

Me: "And You to become are real daughter so that way nobody will ever be able to take you away from us." I finished for him as I was now pulling her out of her car seat in the back seat.

Amelia : "Really ?? Ever ??" she says with the most sweetest look on her face and the widest eyes ever.

Me : "Really baby girl .... Ever !!" I say try my best to mimick the look on her face as we are now walking into the front door at the lawyer's office.

Receptionist : "Well Hello there Stark !! What brings you in here today huh ?? Business or Pleasure ?? I sure hope it's the latter." says the woman standing up from behind her desk and walking around it as she placed one of her hands on his shoulder and the other on his tie. 

Me : "we are here to sign the adoption papers for our daughter, I mean you do see us standing here right next to him do you not ??" The words fly out of my mouth before I even have a chance to prepare to catch myself. 

Receptionist : "My apologies I didn't realize." She says with a fake smile with her hands still on my man.

Me : "That'sperfectly understandable now would you please take your hands off my boyfriend ??" I say with a tad bit about it you like are you f****** serious.

Older Guy : "April what in the world do you think you are doing !!??" Some older guy seems to appear out of nowhere obviously unhappy with the April chick.

Me : "She seems to be having a problem keeping her hands to herself." Again the words just fly out of my mouth no idea what are coming from.

Amelia : "Ya .... Stop touching My Daddy !!" She says slapping April's hands off of Stark. It wasn't till then that I noticed that he had been looking at me the entire time. The look on his face and in his eyes unreasonable to me. 

April : "Why you little ...." She began to say before I cut her off.

Me : "The next words out of your mouth better be sweetheart, cutie pie, darling, or princess !!" I stayed to her as I hand Amelia to Stark and take a couple steps towards her, which in turn caused her to take a couple back finally getting my point. 

Older Guy : "Well Stark my dear boy you seem to have gotten quite a feisty one there haven't you ??" The older guy I've yet to know his name says with a laugh more of amusement and I can tell there's no disrespect intended.

Stark : "Yes .... Yes It would seem that way Mr. Jackson. Quite a feisty one indeed." He says with what appears to be a look of pride as well and septic else I can't quite figure out his voice.

Mr. Jackson : "April get Lacey and tell her I would like to see her my office this very moment. Shall we go to my office ??" He said strain questioning look towards us.

Stark : "After you." He says as he grabs my hand intertwining our fingers and gently pulling me along.

Sitting in mr. Jackson's office at the most beautiful round glass table I've ever seen mr. Jackson hands me a giant stack of papers as well at Stark. 

Mr. Jackson : "Amelia darling would you like to play with those toys over there in the corner I see you looking at them you're more than welcome to play with them while you're here if you like." He says with the sweetest smile to Amelia.

Amelia : "Really is it really okay ??" She asks I really would white eyes. 

Mr. Jackson : "I give you my word sweetheart really it's okay." He says with a bit of a laugh.

Amelia jumps down off of deans light and runs over to the toys and starts playing.

Me : "It is not everyday you see oh well respected lawyer with Kitty toys taking up cord around his office that's sweet." I tell him as I begin reading the papers.

Mr. Jackson : "why thank you my dear they're my grandkids is actually they come spend time with me in the office three times a week. Given I'm so busy with all caseloads and stuff so they play well I work and spend time with them. I did the same thing with my kids wanting to provide a good life for them and their mother as well as be a part of their life at the same time it's the only way I could think to make it all work." He says but shrug nonchalantly.

Me : "Well I think that's very admirable." I say with a smile cuz I honestly do. 

Woman : "You asked to see me mr. Jackson sir ??" The young beautiful woman asks a little tentatively." 

Mr. Jackson : "Aww yes Lacey, you will now be promoted to my personal secretary in April will be demoted to your position as of now will you please drop the papers for me to sign putting all this into effect immediately ??" He asks her with a smile. 

Lacey : "Yes sir mr. Jackson sir I'll do that right now. Thank you sir the commotion." 

Mr. Jackson : "Oh and Lacey that promotion comes with full medical for not only yourself but your family is well so get your mother to the doctors so we can get her healthy yes ??" Hotels Lacey. 

Lacey : "Yes sir mr. Jackson thank you so much you don't know how much this means to me I will get ahold of her right after I drop those papers for you to sign thank you !!" She says trying her best to hold back her tears and not let her voice c***k which it did just slightly.

After two and a half hours of going over paperwork as well as signing said paperwork we where finally finished.

Me : "That's it then ?? Everything is done now ??" I ask Mr. Jackson.

Mr. Jackson : "That's it everything is done now and all took care of."

Me : "She's officially ours ??"

Mr. Jackson : "Officially Yours." He reply back to me with a smile.

Stark and I look at each other saying in unisense. "Officially Ours."
