Chapter Two- Impression

463 Words
"WHAT!? Rumors of death?! Oh, my god, what rumors?" Charles is surprised; I rarely get excited."Just some false rumors that some people died here. No biggie," he says. "Oh. I thought..... no, it's nothing." Actually, I was scared. I've been scared of murderers ever since I was young. Celine just looks disgusted. I should explain why she hates me. Celine has the biggest crush on a guy at work named Ryan. But Ryan, for some reason, likes me. So she's jealous. I don't understand why Ryan likes me. I mean, look at me! I'm a 5"1, with short strawberry blonde hair, and blue eyes.Oh, wait, I'm making myself sound attractive. Trust me, I'm not. I enter my room. It's not what I expected."It's beautiful!" The room is elegantly furnished. The rug is a deep maroon color, and the bed looks like a soft heaven. The bathroom is pretty good, too. It's not even dirty! But the sofas were the best. Looking at it, you might think it looks nice, but not very comfortable. However, once you sat on it, you could literally spend your whole life there. We sit down and get to work. It takes about an hour and a half. Then they leave to go to sleep. I take a shower then go to bed. However, right before I close my eyes and drift of to sleep, I swear I see a pair of dark eyes staring at me through the darkness.... A sudden sound awakes me. It comes from the hallway. I look at the clock. It's only been an hour since I fell asleep. I go out to see a tiny figure standing in front of me. My first impression of her is that she looks like Luna Lovegood from "Harry Potter". Small, with dirty blonde hair that went down to her waist, and grey eyes. She looks at me with a cute expression. "Hi!" I am stunned. I certainly ha not expected her to talk to me. "Hello," I mumble. "I'm Kim! Who are you?" "The name is Star." "Cute name. Can I come in?" And before I can say anything, she swiftly  bounces into my room. "Nice room, better than mine. Mine is tiny Can I stay here for a bit?" "Yeah, sure." I had decided I liked her. "Cool." She talks a lot. About her family, about her job. About everything. She asks a fair amount of questions too. I finally bring up the topic of her sister. The one she had avoided, the one I was most interested in. "Oh! Ummmm, okay. She has my eyes. She is a business woman. Or, she was." "Was? Why, did she retire?" "No! Kaylene would never retire! She.... died." "Oh, I'm so sorry for you! I can't imagine what you went through." "Nah, don't be sorry. After all, I'm the one who killed her. Only after she drowned me, though!"
