"WHOA!" I scream as I finally land from the tornado of memories. "A little warning next time?"
Have you ever had deja vu? Imagine that, but a thousand times stronger. With someone else's memories. Swirling all around you as you walk towards somewhere with no end. And then the relief of light- real light, not the ones from the memories. As you walk through the unseen door into reality. But to a time you never existed.
"Sorry," Kim says, not at all apologetic. I'm frightened by the look on her face. The fire in her eyes burning brighter and bigger than ever. Sneering at the scene. It's horrifying.
"The summer of 1987. The last summer-and day-of my life. I want you to see it."
"See what?" I ask, though I think I already know the answer.
"My death."
I just nod.
"Watch. Here we come," she says, pointing towards the gates.
I finally realize where we are, though I have never been here. The hotel swimming pool. The water's green for some reason, probably because it's night and the lights at the bottom of the pool are on.
A few moments later, two girls emerge from the door way. I recognize one of them- Kim. I assume the other one is Kaylene, her sister.
Kaylene looks like Celine a lot, just her hair's brown instead of pink. She's wearing a two piece bathing suite. I immediately dislike her. She looks like a total brat.
Kim looks like Kim. Cheerful, bouncy, and totally oblivious to her sister's cold stare. She jumps into the pool with a splash. Kaylene's leap is much more graceful. They both start swimming laps and messing around, all the unfriendliness gone from the younger one's eyes.
"Sister, I heard you inherited all of father's property. Is the rumor correct?"
"Yeah, it is, I guess. You don't have to be so formal with me, Kay. It's just me."
" Of course not! I'm not being formal. This is just the way I speak. Anyway, thank God you got it and not me. I don't know what I would've done with that much money! Probably spent it on books and other geeky stuff, right?"
Kim giggles. Kaylene slowly revolves around her, and then grabs her neck.
"Such a lovely neck...."
"Sis, you know I'm ticklish there!" Kim says with a giggle.
Those were the last words she ever said.
Kaylene thrusts Kim's head into the water, and she tries to break free of her sister's strong grip. And then it was all over. She stopped splashing around and just floated on the water.
"Good riddance." Kaylene climbs up, dries herself, spits at her sister's body, and leaves." Now I'll finally get what I deserve!"
Kime- the ghost one, not the one in the pool- reaches out to me. "The next part's my favorite. I think the other's are jealous of me because of it. They didn't think of revenge, and the one who came after me had no reason. It was totally an accident."
I take her hand and get ready. Then we go through the tornado again, and when we land, it's in a small room. Unlike mine, it's not as well furnished and elegant. A peaceful Kaylene is asleep on the small bed.
The death is simple, nothing extravagant, She wakes her up, and stares until she has a heart attack and dies. A bit comical, actually.
"Now that that's done, let's return. Sierra's gonna be mad. It took longer than I expected," ghost Kim says with a frown. "C'mon. Just four more gruesome deaths left to see!"
