I wake up to my phone ringing. Liz isn't in bed anymore.
I look at my phone's screen; it's the college calling.
Call On
Me: Hi!
Secretary: Hi, Mr. McNight! — It's the secretary. — The director wants to know if something happened because you're supposed to teach this class and the next one.
Me: I'm at the police station. Had a little problem, but I'm on my way. — Crap!
Secretary: Okay, I'll let him know.
Call Off
I hang up without saying thanks.
I jump out of bed and go to Liz's room, but she's not there. She must have gone to college and didn't wake me up.
I can't quite figure out what happened. I go back to my room, take a quick shower, get dressed, and head to the college.
As soon as I arrive at the college, I go straight to the classroom.
