Chapter 50

1178 Words

I wake up to the light streaming in from the window. I sit up in bed and remember the previous night—or rather, the early morning. Henry must still be here since I didn't respond to him. I lie there for a long time, then decide to get up, take a shower, and freshen up. I put on a soft black romper, my fluffy slippers, and tie my hair into a loose bun. I take a deep breath and head to the kitchen. I need to eat. The worst part is that Sandra and Petter are off, so it's just me and Henry. I carefully make my way downstairs, unsure if Henry is still here. As soon as I reach the kitchen, I gather all the ingredients I need and prepare the batter for a chocolate cake. I turn on the oven to preheat it, pour the batter into a pan, and place it in the oven. Then, I start cleaning up the mess.
