It was my turn to be confused when I looked up at his dark glasses.
Then I laughed nervously. "I recall clearly well that your watch started beeping rapidly yesterday and you had to leave me to be where you had to be."
Yet Levi remained blank as he stared at me before suddenly breaking into laughter. "Are you sure you didn't have something funny to drink? Who still wears a beeping watch?"
I furrowed my brows at him. Was it possible that I imagined the beeping sounds? Why would Levi lie about something this small? It made no sense.
